09/09: Mexico, GdR

CMLL (FRI) 09/08 Arena Mexico Results [ova, box y luhca, ocampo]
1) Sicodelico Jr., Texano Jr. b Apocalipsis, Ramstein
2) India Sioux, Lady Apache, Marcela b Hiroka, Medusa, Rosa Negra
Lady Apache beat Hiroka, and I think she’s getting a title shot rather soon.
3) Averno, Eclipse, Mephisto b Blue Panther, La Mascara, Sagrado
4) Atlantis, Kenzo Suzuki, Ultimo Guerrero b Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero, Ultimo Dragon
Finish here saw Atlantis give Wagner the Atlanitda – while Ultimo gave Rey the Atlantida!
5) Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila, Shocker b Heavy Metal, Lizmark Jr., Negro Casas
Lizmark replaced Dos. Shocker was wearing a different Perros shirt, and, according to Ocampo, the Perro fans weren’t happy with him being in the group.
6) Mistico b Black Warrior [LdP, sf]
Usually these are one fall, but they worked it as three falls here. Warrior had the first fall won, but got DQed for excesive violence. He ripped off Mistico’s mask to get his money’s worth, and while Mistico fled to the back to get a new mask, Warrior beat up Ke Monito quite greatly. Mistico reappeared flying off stage onto Warrior, but Warrior ended up winning the second fall with nudo lagureno, giving him a virtual two falls to none victory. Of course, Mistico rallied back in the third, both men hit dives which almsot put each other out for the (20) count, and Mistico landed La Mistica for the win. The mask match was agreed to after, but first Mistico’s got to face Atlantis next week.

Guerreros del Ring has
Brazo de Oro, Metro II, Virus b Mr. Mexico, Ohara, Okumura
Heavy Metal, Mistico, Negro Casas b Averno, Black Warrior, Mephisto

Which means Fox Sports will likely have
India Sioux, Lady Apache, Princesa Blanca b Amapola, La Nazi, Rosa Negra
Felino, Sagrado, Satanico b Alex Koslov, Eclipse, Olimpico

Mistico and Black Warrior agree on mask match

Mistico beat Black Warrior to advance in the Leyenda de Plata tournament, and he will face Atlantis next week. After the match, both Warrior and Mistico agreed on a mask/mask match for 09/29 – hopefully CMLL makes this offical ASAP.

No big surprises on the show, though I think we have a women’s title match set up.

09/08: nothing

Super Parka and Mascara Sagrada were goofing around before the LA MLS game with the lucha matches. Mascara Sagrada eats well. (thanks to mikeinformer)

Can’t find much news. thegladiatores.com says they’ve updated with new AULL results and a lot of good stuff, but I can’t find anything but the cover (and last week’s articles.) El Halcon still seems to be a secret undisclosed updating schedule, but they did repost the Rock talking about how Santo rules and Hulk Hogan does not.

CMLL (FRI) 09/08 Arena Mexico
1) Sicodelico Jr., Trueno vs Apocalipsis, Ramstein
2) India Sioux, Lady Apache, Marcela vs Hiroka, Medusa, Rosa Negra
Got a feeling they’re setting up a title challenge here – but then, they’ve been doing that on every spot show for the last two months.
3) Blue Panther, La Mascara, Sagrado vs Averno, Eclipse, Mephisto
4) Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero, Ultimo Dragon vs Atlantis, Kenzo Suzuki, Ultimo Guerrero
Atlantis ought to do something important if he’s going to main event next week.
5) Dos Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, Negro Casas vs Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila, Shocker
If Zumbido’s jumped, this is where he’d show up. I don’t think Shocker’s sticking as a Perro, and they may start that right here.
6) Mistico vs Black Warrior [LdP, final]
It’d be nice if this is a good match. This is the third time they’ve done this match here in 6 months.

“Lucha Libre: Life Behind The Mask” will be part of the Cinesol Film Festival in Brownsville, TX, on Sunday.

Super Crazy has supposedly been added to the WWE RAW Mexico tour. YAY for someone.

09/07: Coliseo, Guadalajara

international strike force
It looks like Alex Koslov has fallen in with a bad crowd. Good for him!

Apparently, when CMLL hypes something as “final”, they don’t mean “the last/ultimate match.” Silly me for thinking that, since Black Warrior vs Mistico is listed as the final match of the Leyenda de Plata, that’d be it. Atlantis is in Ovaciones today, promoting next week’s match versus the winner of the match. Since Atlantis was originally in block B last week and removed, they’ve changed their mind on what they’re doing a couple times at least.

Atlantis is actually rooting for Mistico to win (and not his teammate), because he would like to destroy the kid. If this match actually happens, I think I’m changing my anniversary prediction to Atlantis/Warrior vs Santo/Mistico.

*new* projected rest of September
09/08: Black Warrior vs Mistico [LdP sf]
09/17: Atlantis vs Mistico [LdP final]
09/22: heat up trios match w/Santo
09/29: Santo/Mistico vs Atlantis/Warrior [losers in a mask match]

If this doesn’t end up with Mistico in a mask match, people are going to be angry.

CMLL (TUE) 09/05 Arena Coliseo Results
0) Bacteria, Cheneque b Antares, Goku
Antares apparently got strechered out at the end of the dark match
1) Astro Boy, Super Nova b Polvora, Vaquero
2) Leono, Sensei, Starman b Artillero, Jeque, Super Comando
3) Arkangel, Hooligan, Nitro b Pantera, Tigre Metalico, Tony Rivera

CMLL (SUN) 09/03 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara Results
1) Estrella de Jalisco, Golden b Flama, Imposter
2) Sahori, Silueta b Atenea, Medusa
3) Gallo, Lider, Mascara Purpura DQ Hombre Sin Nombre, Malefico, Mr. Trueno
Destroyer beat up the tecnicos in the third match. I’m sure he had his reasons.
4) Hiroka b Marcela [CMLL WOMEN]
5) Mascara Ano 2000, Misterioso II, Universo 2000 b Hijo de Lizmark, Lizmark, Volador Jr.
Would you believe that a foul figured into this finish? Crazy!
6) Antrax b Depredador [hair]
This, on the other hand, was clean.

CMLL (TUE) 09/05 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara Results
1) Rey Trueno b Thunder Boy
2) Exterminador b Destroyer
3) Guero Loco b Nube Roja
4) Marcela, Sahori b Hiroka, Medusa
5) Mascara Purpura, Volador Jr. b Hombre Sin Nombre, Misterioso II
In a bit of revenge, Volador got away with pulling Misterioso’s mask and rolling him upf for the win. This match had some spots.
6) Mascara Ano 2000, Universo 2000 b Hijo de Lizmark, Sagrado

Shocker’s been announced as on tonight’s IWRG card, replacing Negro Casas on the tecnico side, which would kinda mean he’s a tecnico, right? (I don’t expect him to last as a Perro.) No Perros on the other side, but Misterioso has been with them.

I forget to mention this on Tuesday, but Panterita has changed his name to Free Lance (may be one word, may be two word.) I think the name has more to do with unbound dives than working on a non-salary basis, but who can say.

AAA updated it’s Upcoming Events section – but still has Shocker listed as participating on the next TV taping. An oversight, but a bad one.

Lucha Times

Saturday: Split feed. Mostly a place keeping episode, though they try to refire the Fabi/Billy/Brandon stuff in the opener. Sunday’s a repeat of this.

GdR/FSE: There’s neither clear division here, nor any matches which look stand out. This will be Alex Koslov’s CMLL debut for US TV (sorta and somewhere). I’m thinking ladies and Mistico go to GdR, but that’s a guess.

09/06: AAA TV, IWRG

(cartoon from El Halcon

Shocker told Ovaciones that his AAA stint was “not what I hoped.” I’m glad we can all agree on this. He’s happy to be back, but he wouldn’t tell the reporter any more details about the circumstances of his AAA departure.

Newest Zumbido rumor – he was cut from AAA for discipline reasons. If this is right, do I win the Octagon title change debate? That’s the important thing here.

AAA TV (SUN) 09/03 Plaza de Toros, Tula, Hidalgo Results
1) Estrellita, Mascartia Divina, Pimpinela Escarlata b Mini Charly Manson, Polvo de Estrellas, Tiffany
2) Apache b Rey Cometa [torneo, sf, dream]
3) Laredo Kid b Pesadilla [torneo, sf, dream]
4) Kaoma Jr. b Chiva Rayada I [torneo, sf, dream]
5) Cuervo, Ozz, Scoria b Elegido, Oriental, Zorro
6) Scorpio Jr. b Super Porky [bull terrier]
Apparently there’s a feud here. The words “bathed in blood” were used to describe this one. Scorpio low blowed Porky and touched all six corners. Porky challenged Scorpio to a hair match.
7) Intocable, La Parka Jr., Octagon b Charly Manson, Chessman, Muerte Cibernetica
Muerte got cradled for the loss, and he and Chessman are still not friends (though they’re still teaming.)

The winner of the Dream tournament gets to be a ‘star’, whatever that turns out to mean. triplea.com has interviews with the three finalists

Laredy Kid: generally happy
Kaoma Jr.: apparently still a Viper; dedicating match to his parents
Apache: anyone could win

Lots of IWRG results…

IWRG (THU) 08/31 Arena Naucalpan Results
1) Avisman, Macho II b Halcon Salvaje, Shuriken
2) Cerebro Negro, Panterita, Suicida b Hijo de Diablo, Nitro, Veneno
Cerebro Negro wants a shot at Veneno’s IWRG Middleweight Title
3) Dr. Cerebro DQ Black Pentagon [WAR IJ]
This title was billed as “Dragon Gate Middleweight”, but it’s actually the WAR IJ title from their last show.
4) Black Warrior, Head Hunter I, Head Hunter II b Negro Casas, Sicodelico Jr., Texano Jr.

Seems like there’s a match missing from the results, but they don’t list five results for this show.

IWRG (THU) 08/31 Arena Neza Results
1) Comando Gama b Platino
2) Bacteria, Black Stone b Ave Fenix, Kid Tiger
3) Lady Apache, Marcela, Princesa Blanca b Amapola, Hiroka, Rosa Negra
4) Misterioso II, Puma, Xibalba b Felino, Kung Fu Jr., Pantera
Misterioso (replacing “Dissel”) and Pantera continue to feud, with Misterioso getting in a foul for the win, and wanting a (tag team) title match against Pantera. This match bled over into the next.
5) Atlantis, Misterioso, Ultimo Guerrero DQ Dr. Wagner Jr., Ramses, Sagrado
Misterioso was replacing Hijo de Cien Caras in this one. Tecnicos were rolling towards a third fall victory when Pantera return to attack Misterioso again, giving the rudos the DQ win.

IWRG (SUN) 09/03 Arena Nacualpan Results
1) Golem b Black Dragon
2) Belcebu, Comando Mega b Gran Cuchilo, Platino
3) Avisman, Paramedico, Sicario DQ Angelus, Divino, Kung Fu Jr.
debuts for Sicario, Angelus, and Divino. Rudos got in a foul on the tecnicos, and Kung Fu got caught going fo revenge
4) Fabian el Gitano, Panterita, Tony Rivera b Cyborg, Enfermero Jr., Xibalba
dive train ending, with Tony the only one making it back in.
5) Pantera, Sicodelico Jr., Solar DQ Head Hunter I, Okumura, Pierroth
This was billed as Mexico vs the World. Pierroth fouled Mexico, so the won.

IWRG (SUN) 09/03 Arena Neza Results
1) Comando Gama b Red Bull
2) Cibelius, Kid Tiger b Black Stone, Camaleón
3) Ave Fenix, Black Shadow Jr., Robotman b Bacteria, Hormiga, Mosca
4) Halcon Salvaje, Hombre Arana, Suicida b Black Jaguar, Dr. Cerebro, Puma
It seemed like Dr. Cerebro had been working tecnico sides since splitting up with Veneno and the Corporacion a few weeks. He was back to the rudo side here, but that worked out very poorly, with he and his teammates disagreeing. Post match, he asked the crowd if he should be a rudo or tecnico – the crowd said tecnico, so that’s what he’ll be.
5) Heavy Metal, Negro Casas, Sagrado b Diesel, Nitro, Olimpico

TV Recaps
– Victor’s got recaps of the CMLL FSE show, the 07/29 CMLL Televisa show, and this past weekend’s AAA show
– Jose Payan @ F4W also has a recap of the FSE show
– and so does Scott Decker @ WO.com
Maybe I’ll do a recap again, someday.

I haven’t seen the RXLL footage, but I hear it’s around the net.

Current announced opponents for Mistico & Santo in Chicago are “Septiembre Negro Jr. and someone else”. Septiembre Negro didn’t strike me as a logical opponent for Mistico and Santo when I saw him.

Alexis hasn’t posted Coliseo results, so we’ll save that for tomorrow.
