I made a couple of posts in the thread, but I am sure a few of you that visit this site could throw in a bit extra.
Sorry for the dumb remark my mind was elsewhere.
Heard the WWE tour of Mexico was a success
I saw the ROH board, are they clueless or is it just me?
Perro Aguayo Jr and the KOW? He’s the leader of the Perro’s Del Mal (The Bad Dogs or Evil Dogs (as Dusty Rhoades) if you will).
I tried to read that ROH board thread but holy shit… I dunno why Bix tries. Some of the posts in that thread are beyond retarded. I honestly think some ROH fans are a lot like old ECW fans in the sense it’s like a cult… as if their minds have been so warped that they would jump off the Sears Tower if they thought the afterlife contained a Samoa Joe vs American Dragon never ending submission match.
My favorite ROH board moment was back when the boards first opened up. I was an ROH fan back then and occasionally glanced at the boards. One day I came upon a thread called “Part 3 of my Mexico stay” or something of the sort. It was some guy who regularly posted on the boards that was claiming… HE PLAYED RAMSTEIN IN CMLL. No joke. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. He actually had these updates going on and he just stole all of Zellner’s results and claimed he was wrestling in those matches! The best part was when he described Mexico as this huge shithole where dead bodies layed sprawled on the streets outside arenas as if Mexico = a third world country in the midst of a war. He also explained where he came up with the idea of the Ramstein gimmick… he was a huge fan of the band.:)
Yes, this guy was an idiot. But what concerned me more was that this had gone on for a few months up until that point with NOT A SINGLE PERSON DOUBTING HIM. Granted, there may not be a huge crossover between ROH message board posters and hardcore lucha fans but not a single fan thought ‘hey, Mexico isn’t that shitty that they leave dead bodies on the streets’.
Of course I made a post with a picture of the real Ramstein and explained who he is/used to be. Some people actually called the guy out and asked him if I was telling the truth or not. *L*
I wish I knew what happened to the dude. Deep down inside I wish he ended up being one of the ROH megamarks on the DVDVR board but that would be too good.
Zachalxander – Do you have any proof that it may be Santo and Nieto del Santo or are you just guessing?
Santo and Nieto were definetly there, and defintely up close, so it might have been them.
Cena having his slogans on the band of boxing shorts is very scary.
Meltzer says, Edge was there too, wearing a Mephisto mask, but he was recognized anyway, I hope somebody got a picture of that.
“Zachalxander – Do you have any proof that it may be Santo and Nieto del Santo or are you just guessing?”
Nothing, but a guess. Although, I guess it could be called an educated guess . . . hehe. Like cubs pointed out, they were definitely there, and Santo went to the last WWE show in Mexico City, and sat right about where he would be in that picture if it is him. Though, I think it is safe to say it is him.
I think it would be Santo and son as it would be very hard for the average Mexican on the average wage to pay for ringside seats.
ROH fans are huge Japan marks, so I doubt they’ll like anything other than Kenta Kobashi.
Blue Demon
The kid in the santo mask.
It’s a tie, they both lose.
Interesting that Cena shook Blue Demon’s hand and he has nothing to do with Puro
“Interesting that Cena shook Blue Demon’s hand and he has nothing to do with Puro”
Huh?
“The kid in the santo mask.”
Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that is El Hijo del Santo’s son, and Santo is sitting right by him.
By the way, instead of asking who is better, how about we ask who is more KNOWLEDGABLE when it comes to lucha: ROH marks, or John Cena?
