Lucha Times

Saturday: Split feed. Mostly a place keeping episode, though they try to refire the Fabi/Billy/Brandon stuff in the opener. Sunday’s a repeat of this.

GdR/FSE: There’s neither clear division here, nor any matches which look stand out. This will be Alex Koslov’s CMLL debut for US TV (sorta and somewhere). I’m thinking ladies and Mistico go to GdR, but that’s a guess.

09/06: AAA TV, IWRG

(cartoon from El Halcon

Shocker told Ovaciones that his AAA stint was “not what I hoped.” I’m glad we can all agree on this. He’s happy to be back, but he wouldn’t tell the reporter any more details about the circumstances of his AAA departure.

Newest Zumbido rumor – he was cut from AAA for discipline reasons. If this is right, do I win the Octagon title change debate? That’s the important thing here.

AAA TV (SUN) 09/03 Plaza de Toros, Tula, Hidalgo Results
1) Estrellita, Mascartia Divina, Pimpinela Escarlata b Mini Charly Manson, Polvo de Estrellas, Tiffany
2) Apache b Rey Cometa [torneo, sf, dream]
3) Laredo Kid b Pesadilla [torneo, sf, dream]
4) Kaoma Jr. b Chiva Rayada I [torneo, sf, dream]
5) Cuervo, Ozz, Scoria b Elegido, Oriental, Zorro
6) Scorpio Jr. b Super Porky [bull terrier]
Apparently there’s a feud here. The words “bathed in blood” were used to describe this one. Scorpio low blowed Porky and touched all six corners. Porky challenged Scorpio to a hair match.
7) Intocable, La Parka Jr., Octagon b Charly Manson, Chessman, Muerte Cibernetica
Muerte got cradled for the loss, and he and Chessman are still not friends (though they’re still teaming.)

The winner of the Dream tournament gets to be a ‘star’, whatever that turns out to mean. triplea.com has interviews with the three finalists

Laredy Kid: generally happy
Kaoma Jr.: apparently still a Viper; dedicating match to his parents
Apache: anyone could win

Lots of IWRG results…

IWRG (THU) 08/31 Arena Naucalpan Results
1) Avisman, Macho II b Halcon Salvaje, Shuriken
2) Cerebro Negro, Panterita, Suicida b Hijo de Diablo, Nitro, Veneno
Cerebro Negro wants a shot at Veneno’s IWRG Middleweight Title
3) Dr. Cerebro DQ Black Pentagon [WAR IJ]
This title was billed as “Dragon Gate Middleweight”, but it’s actually the WAR IJ title from their last show.
4) Black Warrior, Head Hunter I, Head Hunter II b Negro Casas, Sicodelico Jr., Texano Jr.

Seems like there’s a match missing from the results, but they don’t list five results for this show.

IWRG (THU) 08/31 Arena Neza Results
1) Comando Gama b Platino
2) Bacteria, Black Stone b Ave Fenix, Kid Tiger
3) Lady Apache, Marcela, Princesa Blanca b Amapola, Hiroka, Rosa Negra
4) Misterioso II, Puma, Xibalba b Felino, Kung Fu Jr., Pantera
Misterioso (replacing “Dissel”) and Pantera continue to feud, with Misterioso getting in a foul for the win, and wanting a (tag team) title match against Pantera. This match bled over into the next.
5) Atlantis, Misterioso, Ultimo Guerrero DQ Dr. Wagner Jr., Ramses, Sagrado
Misterioso was replacing Hijo de Cien Caras in this one. Tecnicos were rolling towards a third fall victory when Pantera return to attack Misterioso again, giving the rudos the DQ win.

IWRG (SUN) 09/03 Arena Nacualpan Results
1) Golem b Black Dragon
2) Belcebu, Comando Mega b Gran Cuchilo, Platino
3) Avisman, Paramedico, Sicario DQ Angelus, Divino, Kung Fu Jr.
debuts for Sicario, Angelus, and Divino. Rudos got in a foul on the tecnicos, and Kung Fu got caught going fo revenge
4) Fabian el Gitano, Panterita, Tony Rivera b Cyborg, Enfermero Jr., Xibalba
dive train ending, with Tony the only one making it back in.
5) Pantera, Sicodelico Jr., Solar DQ Head Hunter I, Okumura, Pierroth
This was billed as Mexico vs the World. Pierroth fouled Mexico, so the won.

IWRG (SUN) 09/03 Arena Neza Results
1) Comando Gama b Red Bull
2) Cibelius, Kid Tiger b Black Stone, Camaleón
3) Ave Fenix, Black Shadow Jr., Robotman b Bacteria, Hormiga, Mosca
4) Halcon Salvaje, Hombre Arana, Suicida b Black Jaguar, Dr. Cerebro, Puma
It seemed like Dr. Cerebro had been working tecnico sides since splitting up with Veneno and the Corporacion a few weeks. He was back to the rudo side here, but that worked out very poorly, with he and his teammates disagreeing. Post match, he asked the crowd if he should be a rudo or tecnico – the crowd said tecnico, so that’s what he’ll be.
5) Heavy Metal, Negro Casas, Sagrado b Diesel, Nitro, Olimpico

TV Recaps
– Victor’s got recaps of the CMLL FSE show, the 07/29 CMLL Televisa show, and this past weekend’s AAA show
– Jose Payan @ F4W also has a recap of the FSE show
– and so does Scott Decker @ WO.com
Maybe I’ll do a recap again, someday.

I haven’t seen the RXLL footage, but I hear it’s around the net.

Current announced opponents for Mistico & Santo in Chicago are “Septiembre Negro Jr. and someone else”. Septiembre Negro didn’t strike me as a logical opponent for Mistico and Santo when I saw him.

Alexis hasn’t posted Coliseo results, so we’ll save that for tomorrow.
