GdR #38

Last week’s episode. I timed the women’s match for sub 6 minutes, and it was not even a great six minutes. I’m moving the mask match onto my TiVo right at this moment, but don’t want to watch it, because I’m so very scared. Like to “this may end women’s wrestling in CMLL for another decade” levels. On the other hand, Dark Angel has looked as good as ever in this most recent run.

The tag team title match was as good a stuff they’ve had on this show in quite a while. Only the second fall was microscopically short; they split the time up to create two more above average length falls. (Of course, I wish they just dumped the pointless interviews and gave them 25 minutes, but doesn’t seem like we’ve got a chance of that.) It was missing a bit of drama at the end to turn into a great match, but it still was a pretty fine encoutner.

I don’t know how to break this to you, Robert, but they’ve cut out the opening clip montage. Of all the things they could cut out on these shows…

I’ll catch up on (at least) the other reacp in the morning.

  1. Honestly, I’m not too disapointed. Since they are airing 4 matches per week anyhow, we are only missing the opening match clips. It used to matter when we’d only see 1 or 2 matches per episode. On the episode I just saw with the horrible trios opener, there is a cool clip of Purpura doing an upside down tope suicida by accident.:)
