please keep up

Mike Informer is totally extempt because he was offline at the time, but the whole “mask wearing banned in futbol” story happened two weeks ago. I was there. You were there. (See original post here.)

Yea, there’s an update today with people protesting or whatever, but at this point, it’s a futbol story not a lucha libre one. Why is this still news?

Should I just make a “random unfair complaints about the Observer” category?

  1. “Should I just make a “random unfair complaints about the Observer” category?”

How is it unfair? This was a huge story two weeks ago and Meltzer didn’t cover it. That’s bad reporting. We all know Meltzer’s current Lucha knowledge is limited… very limited… but this was a huge story so it’s surprising he missed it the first time around.

Do you suppose if the ban was on ROH t-shirts being worn, it would have been the lead story two weeks ago?:) (Reply in advance: Yes, I’m a little bitter that Arena Mexico drawing their third biggest gate ever got no mention at any point on the WON website while an ROH show attended by hundreds of people got three write-ups and a huge mention in the update the day afterwards.)

  2. Meltzer did have a piece near the top of the newsletter about Arena Mexico consistently drawing huge crowds for 4 weeks in a row, though. That’s gotta’ count for something. He just doesn’t pay attention to any lucha news unless somebody goes out of there way to mention it to him, it seems.
