Egipcio filled in for Maximo, so they may have been intending to set up a Mexican Trios match here.

In quite the upset, local Toxico beat Negro with the La Majistral. The two agreed to a CMLL Middleweight title match for this Sunday; funny how title defenses seem to come in bunches.

CMLL has changed Sunday’s card quite a bit. Instead of an Atomicos and a 4 tag team tournament, they’ve dumped them all together into a 8 team tournament. Also, the main event is Black Warrior vs Dos Caras Jr, which should be something.

No Silver King and no Tarzan Boy. I figure this breaks down with one network getting the tournament (and maybe part of the opener to fill it out) and the other getting the singles main event and that trios match. Guessing which goes where is so going to be the new predicitions game. (Whichever show gets the tournament is the B show.)

Ovaciones has an interview with Alex Koslov. He’s coming to Mexico to show that Russians can fight! He’s apparently the first Russian (or perhaps ‘Russian’) to wrestle at Arena Mexico in the 72 year history of the building. They list all the So Cal indy promotions he’s worked for (“Prowrestling Guerrillas”), and Koslov claims he’s more rudo than most luchadors. We shall see.
