07/22: Mexico results

Quite the outfit for Mr. Bucanero. Rey’s had some polarizing wardrobe choices since turning tecnico (and really before.)

CMLL (FRI) 07/21 Arena Mexico Results [Ocampo, Alexis, ovaciones]
1) Sensei, Trueno b Artillero, Ramstein
2) Arkangel de la Muerte, Nitro, Shigeo Okumura b Sicodélico Jr., Texano Jr., Tony Rivera
3) Mephisto, Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca b La Máscara, Satánico, Volador Jr.
4) Dos Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, Lizmark Jr. b Johnny Stamboli, Kenzo Suzuki, Marco Corelone
5) Hector Garza, Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila b Dr. Wagner Jr., Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero
Perro tried to low blow Rey three times in the final fall – the final one worked for the win.

Bad night for injuries. Arkangel hurt his ankle and left his match early. Hector Garza suffered a presumed vertebrae injury (forearm to the throat did bad things), putting him out. He’s regained feeling, and they think he’s going to be okay, but he’s still in the hospital and will be out of action a week. (Damian semi-replaced him in the final fall.) And CMLL’s Friday photographer Rosalio Vera broke her foot.

Sounds like the Perros were the more popular team in the main event.

TV Update: CMLL.com confirms a 8/11 (Friday) and 8/13 (Sunday) GdR startup on Fox Sports Espanol. Someone who has it will have to watch the Friday show to let me know what’s on. It sounds like it’s going to still going to be on Canal 52 (specially mentioned), but they say first taping will be 07/30; huh?

Mistico, Dark Angel, and the debuting Eclipse (the possible new member of GdI – maybe this guy?) all are on next week’s show.
