1) Sensei, Trueno vs Artillero, Ramstein
2) Sicodelico Jr., Texano, Tony Rivera vs Arkangel, Nitro, Okumura
3) La Mascara, Satanico, Volador Jr. vs Mephisto, Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
4) Dos Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, Hijo de Lizmark vs Johnny Stamboli, Kenzo Suzuki, Marco Corelone
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero vs Hector Garza, Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila
This looks on paper like a run of the mill show, but I think we’re going to see the first signs of whatever they might have planned for the anniversary show here. None of the Perros have been regulars since mid May – Hector and Perro made appearances around the GA, but that’s it – and it seems like they were pushed aside to make room for the LA Park/Dr. Wagner Jr. and Ultimo Guerrero/Rey Bucanero feuds. Those have either reached their peak or ended, which opens the door back to the Perros. This is also Negro’s return from Japan.
The match to watch tonight is the tercera; gotta figure they’ll do something with Misterioso to followup his big win last week, and there’s logical feuds in the opposition – they could do Mascara/Misterioso for the Middleweight title (Mascara’s first defense in DF), the logical Volador/Misterioso stuff, or even have him win Satanico’s hair if they’re moving him up. He’s been teaming with Los Perros since the GA, so it’s not out of the relm of possibilites for him to get the t-shirt (though it’d make midcard rudo teamups a bit hard.)
The best theory I’ve heard for the new Guerrero is Rey Tigre. He fits the muscled shadow they’re showing for sure, but unless he’s made great strives off TV of late, he’s certainly not read for a spot with the main group, and would even be an iffy proposition for the Pandilla. He’s looked quite green when we’ve seen him on Guerreros del Ring, but he’s only had a few years in the business so he’s probably not far off where he should be in his development; he’s just being exposed more because he’s a (rare) heavyweight, and this seems to be what all promotions do with heavyweights. This would seem to much more potential to be Sagrado’s debut (nerves, inexperience leading to some bad work) than Mistico’s.
In any event, if that post is to be believed, he should be debuting with the group this Friday, perhaps under a new name. I’m doubting the appearance Friday, because no one of the top level Guerreros are supposed to part of the action. (Wonder if that’s a coincidence with PdM returning.)

Here’s another article on the OC Fair show this weekend seems like it’s been covered a fair deal. This one’s more an emcee with the promoter, but they also mention El Hijo del Santo, Dr. Wagner Jr., Super Kendo, Super Parka will be there, and the shows are at 8pm. If someone wants to to spring for plane tickets, I’ll go there instead. (thanks to mikeinformer)
There’s a new El Halcon Net! YAY. Inside #66
– Interview with Muerte Cibernetia. First page of it seems a bit off as I’m reading it – spacing is fracturing the picture. They’ve got the unmasked picture there, and I thing the gist is “I’m going to be staying in AAA for a while longer.”
– results from the 06/27 Queretaro show. India Sioux challenged Hiroka after beating her in a tag match; it’s quite tough to be Hiroka, everyone’s challenging you.
– brief Interview with Chamaco Valaguez about his career
– Interview with Chamaco Valaguez Jr. about his career. Chamaco notes sequels are hard. He’s currently Morelos tag champion.
– Interview, in his own words, with Kaoma Jr, who has quiet the screwy looking mask in the cover shot. He’s hitting 13 years as a luchador next month, and he didn’t start till he was 25. His father was Dr. Kaoma, so that’s where he got the name, though there were others along the way. He moved to Queretaro 7 years ago, when he and his father were invited there by a local legend. He was invited to be part of the Vipers by Abismo Negro, and feels all the other groups in AAA are children. He sees a feud with Psicosis II, since he left the Vipers to join the Mexipowers.
– Interview with Espiritu Maligna. His father was a wrestler and his brothers are wrestlers. (Karissma?) Sounds like CMLL redesigned his mask after he started with them.
A new CMLL Magazine is up at @ http://www.magazinecmll.com/; see Tuesday’s card today! Full launch coming later this week, I believe.
If you haven’t been a subscribe to Bryan Alvarez’s Figure Four – the newsletter had some good details about why LA Park’s gone (and the plan for the anniversary show was then) and why Pantera dropped his mask (which has been discussed elsewhere), and there was an entertaining audio interview with Bob Barnett on lucha and other wrestling this past week.
