Brazo de Oro filled in for Niebla. Hope they find him before Sunday!
4) Rey Bucanero b Ultimo Guerrero [CMLL LH]
They did the quick two falls and long third fall bit – but every match except the women’s match ended up longer, so that was just plain dumb. (According to Ocampo, the opener went 22 minutes!) Ultimo kicked out of the Buca Storm, Ultimo got the Guerrero Special – which had got him the second fall – and something happened with the ref. Maybe he was clipped by the move? In the confusion, Rey rolled up Ultimo for the win. Sounded like a good match, but not enough to make him.
5) Pantera L Misterioso II, Sagrado, Averno, Mephisto, La Máscara, Sangre Azteca, Volador Jr., Felino, Nitro, Mascara Purpura, Neutron [cage, mask]
Neutron and Nitro were the first ones out. Volador Jr., at least, did dive off the top of the cage. Pantera had a chance to leave early but got pulled down and appeared to be hurt. He kept fighting, and when it came down to the final four – him & Felino vs Mephisto & Misterioso – Pantera started to leave but came back to save Felino. Mephisto and Felino both split town, and Misterioso and Felino had a good six minute segment before Misterioso landed his top rope Rosa Driver. Pantera’s full name is Francisco Javier Fosas, from Queretaro, and he says he’s 40 years old (we had 42 previously.)

The other big news: they got the cage up in 1:57, breaking the record! YAY TEAM.
