CMLL: main event trios. Didn’t show the first fall DQ, but did show the Buca Storm to win it clean. “Win it clean” may sound strange to you, but it’s a method of winning a fall without any illegal maneuvers or outside interference – one wrestler defeats another wholly thru the use of an allowed wrestling hold. The CMLL Main Event Clean Finish was put on the endangered special list back in 2004, so it’s great to see it doing well for one week.
AAA: Super Porky, La Parka, Octagon vs Chessman, Konnan, Muerte Cibernetica; no location listed, but I would guess 06/30 form that lineup. Porky has a silver gear. We get a shot of Cibernetico standing around doing nothing. He threw something powder-like in Konnan’s face (aiming for Porky). Porky belly bumped Konnan down, and needed help from Not El Hijo De Tirantes to climb the ropes for the second rope splash. If you can imagine, Porky looks even fatter now.
In Ovacioens today, Gallo Tapado Jr. vowed to beat Fuerza Guerrera for his mask. Good luck on that one, dude.
Rey is indeed getting the title shot on Friday. Zumbido defends the Middleweight Title versus Octagon this week. Full lineups (though thin) on Monday.
