4) Blue Panther, Brazo de Oro, Satánico b Emilio Charles Jr., Misterioso II, Pierroth
Brazo de Oro replaced Porky; I guess even if Porky is willing to work out his dates, they wouldn’t want him working TV.
5) Mistico, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero b Atlantis, Tarzan Boy, Ultimo Guerrero
After the match, Mistico introduced a member of the music group “Caña Real”, which has a song about Mistico on their upcoming CD.

Super Luchas has cover shots of both La Parka/LA Park feuds. Those Super Lucha also pages have a picture of Nieto del Santo; he looks like a kid, and I’m sure he’s out there just to establish ownership of the name.
Speaking of, El Hijo del Santo posted on box y lucha. No news, but I do love him talking about having received a Palm from his wife and kids and having not really used it. I so know that person. (Actually, that might be 75% of people who get Palms as a gift.)
The LA Daily News has a good article about Lucha Va Voom. One line stuck out:
As one of the stars, Cassandro can get thousands of dollars in the white envelopes handed out to performers after the show. Entry-level fighters make around $100 per fight and top-level talent in Mexico earns millions annually.
That’d be nice if it was true, but I got a feeling it’s not.
This Arizona Central article (which appears to be a syndicated one) about Nacho Libre includes this paragraph:
The art of wrestling is taught at the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (Council of World Wrestling) in Mexico City by experienced wrestlers. For approximately $30 per month, you can learn from the best, develop your own character, and experience Mexican popular culture like few others have. For more information, call 011-5255-5588-1569 or visit www.cmll.com.
There’s totally got to be a “if they let you” in there. It sounds way too easy.
Nacho Libre lost more than half of it’s weekend gross this week, but it was still good for $12mil on the weekend. It’s at $52mil total and cost $35, so money for everyone! It’ll probably be killed next week by Superman.
Lineup notes
– Arena Mexico has Park vs Wagner for the UWA Title. It also has Kenzo Suzuki and Marco Corelone in separate matches.
– Mistico’s working two shows on at least Tuesday and Thursday.
– This week’s AAA taping is on Friday. The following 07/07 next taping has Brazo de Plata and Extreme Tiger (listed as Tigre Extreme) in about the same spots as the mystery guys on this taping.
– No cards for Wednesday (typical) and Saturday (not) for whatever the reason.
