06/11: Colsieo results, cage of death x 2

All 8 particpants agreeed to a 8 way cage match next week. More on that in a sec.

Of those eight particpants – Metal, Negro, Maximo, Rey, Okumra, Tarzan, Terrible, and Universo – Okumura looks to be the odd man out (unless Maximo’s in a hurry to join the family tradition.) However, there’s a slight problem – Okumura’s booked in this cage of death match AND he’s booked in an IWRG cage of death match going on at the same time. IWRG’s got more possible losers in theirs – Enfermero Jr Jr., Fantastik, Pantera, Hurcan Ramirez, Matrix, Dr. Cerebro, Sucida and Okumura – but there’s still the problem of Okumura being in two places at once. I don’t know how that’s going to work, but I figure he’ll be replaced in the IWRG one, just because he’s gotta be the loser in the Coliseo one.

(If that wasn’t enough, there’s an indy Russian roulette tag tournament with some big names (and Pierroth II) on Sunday as well.)

BTW, notice that CMLL.com has added the cage match to it’s Arena Coliseo Sunday listing, but hasn’t changed Crazy Boy’s name. I dunno, I dunno.

FWIW, Box Y Lucha and Ovaciones both list the TripleMania card today, and neither mentions Konnan as a special ref in the main event.

In El Manana de Matamoros, there’s an article ripping Rayo de Jalisco Jr. for noshowing a card on Wednesday.

The newest Super Luchas has Park vs Wagner on the cover. There’s more pages posted here, including that photo of Joe Lider and Kaoma Jr. trying an apron Spanish Fly and it all going bad.

Santo and Rayo were among those at the Mexico/Iran game this weekend (or perhaps other people in their masks.) I saw one with Demon and Wagner masks, but no link yet…

Nacho Libre
– The New York Post has quick bios onpopular lucha stars and Q&A with luchadores in the movie. Silver King is the golden masked Santo/Demon-type in the trailers, and Mascarita Sagrada (original) is in the movie as part of the mini tag team “Satan’s Helpers.”
