CMLL (SUN) 06/04 Arena Coliseo Results
1) Apocalipsis, Ramstein b Sombra de Plata, Trueno
2) Arkangel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Super Comando b Metro, Pantera, Stuka Jr.
3) Brazo de Oro, Mr. Niebla, Virus b Masada, Ohara, Okumura
4) Hijo de Pierroth, Hombre sin Nombre, Universo 2000 b Felino, Heavy Metal, Negro Casas
Negro challenged Universo to a hair match.
5) Máximo b Loco Max [hair]
6) Hector Garza, Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Terrible b Dos Caras Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr., Hijo de Lizmark
Universo vs Casas for hairs would be an intersting main event at an off peak time. But when you’ve got these feuds (just off the top of my head)
– Wagner vs Park
– Wagner vs Atlantis
– Mistico vs Warrior
– Rey vs Ultimo, Atlantis and all of the Guerreros
– Perros vs Guerreros
and you’re pulling a random match with absolute no build, it’s awful frustrating. I mean, I’m even okay if they’re saving one of those for the Anniversary or Year End shows, but there’s too much interesting stuff going on for them just randomlly pick two guys and decide that’s good enough. I’d put stuff like an Averno/Mephisto rematch for the titles, a high profile Misterioso match coming off his win, a blow off match to Tall Guys vs Fake Italians, or even a tecnico/tecnico Metal vs Bucanero match (if they could find a reason to have it), because they actually built to that wonderfully on last week’s GdR. I could do without someone picking two names out of a hat (or playing “which vet can we gift a big payoff?”)

This is indeed the same day as the TNA PPV, so no crosspromotion. No Mexipowers, which seems odd. No Pimpi/Cassandro hair match after all that.
The cover of Guerreros del Ring promotes an interview with Lizmark Jr. The cover of Luchas 2000 focuses on the Muerte Cibernetica/La Parka Jr. mask match, but I like the set of pictures detailing Rey getting beat up by the Guerrero at every show this week.
Nacho Libre stuff
– Time has an interview with Jack Black. For those scoring at home, the movie cost $35 mil to make. I predict they’ll double that at the theatre, but let’s remember I don’t have a clue.
– As cross promotion, WWE.com has added a Nacho Libre profile to it’s bios
– the AP has a background story on lucha libre as a preview to the movie. There will probably be a handful more of these before the movie comes out, but this one has a Blue Panther quote.
Lineups
– Not much reported AAA action; no TV taping this week.
– Mistico gets a rematch versus Black Warrior for the NWA Middleweight championship in Tampico
– Oro II (version 2) does indeed get his match at Arena Mexico this week. He’s also working Coliseo
– Rey’s going to get turned on no less than four times this week, and he’s still booked on Guerrero teams NEXT week.
