05/06: Mexico results, GdR lineup

The main event of last night’s Arena Mexico saw Black Warrior cleanly beat Mistico in the third and deciding fall. With that outcome, Warrior challenged Mistico to another NWA Middleweight Championship match, and it appears to be accepted for next week. That card is shaping up to be a very interesting one.

In the semifinal, the Perros did get some measure of revenge from last week, winning the match when Damian low blowed Rey Bucanero without the refs seeing it, and Perro scooped up the pin. Angered, Rey challenged Perro to a hair match. He, of course, did not accept, but that appears to be the new direction for this rivalary.

  1. I’ll predict it right now… Perrito and Bucanero will have a hair match(or it will be the big cage match with everyone) and Bucanero will lose b/c of something Ultimo Guerrero will do. Thus Bucanero will be the newest tecnico.

They had a skit on TV today with all the Guerreros(minus Hooligan, Sangre Azteca, Tarzan Boy) and they were celebrating their two wins the previous week. Everyone gave out congratulations and when Bucanero thought it was his turn to be thanked, everyone congratulated Ultimo instead. Later on he thought they were gonna mention him again so he stood up but once again they didn’t thank him.:( Finally he stood up and said congratulation to “Los Guerreros De La Atlantida” but due to personal reasons he had to leave the celebration and he walked off.

This is storyline of the year potential.

  2. Possibly dumb question: which Guerreros showed up? ( I’m wondering if the lineup changed.)

  3. I think Perro’s taking Rey’s hair too, and you can see them on GdR starting to position him as a tecnico, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Rey’s turn gets held out till the end of year.

Also, Rey vs Ultimo will be the feud to end all feuds. And Rey’s going to be the one beatting Ultimo for the belt.
