I can’t believe I forget the fight AAA got into.
There’s video included in this article here (peru.com via the-w). There’s other articles if you want to look for them, but basically it was supposed to be an arm wrestling bit between Cibernetico and a former boxer turned elected offical that went bad when they were arguing over the grips. When I write it like that, it sure sounds exactly like an angle. Initial thoughts were that it was a shoot (and either way it seems that Antonio Pena got in trouble with Televisa for it), but people are starting to move toward the work side.
When you’re watching, notice
– Chessman moving the table, as if he knows it’s about to be in the way.
– La Parka slightly move to cut off anyone from jumping in too soon
– the boxer miss on a dramatic shot to Ciber’s head with Cibernetico putting up no defense
– how they immediatly go to the ground
If it’s an angle, they’ll surely play off it on Sunday.

It was planned rom the getgo.Cibernetico has gotten into about three fights this year with celebrities who show up at AAA shows to get even.
Pena is just trying to do what Vince Mcmahon does except he does a bad job of doing it.
This has been the biggest story on all gossip shows in Mexico and on the Mexican boards there are at least 5 threads per board with hundreds of responses. You call that a bad job?

The thing was that it comes off as an obvious work.Cibernetico isn’t even a good enough actor to deliver his lines with any credibility. And this is the third time this year at least that Ciber has gotten into a fight with a non lucha celebrity.
It’s just hokey but then Antonio Pena doesn’t care about doing good wrestling angles.
AAA’s angles are 10x better than CMLL’s. Oh look – Perro vs Cien again… *snore*. How about the skits with Bucanero complaining about Guerrero for over 4 months now with them still teaming together as if no problems exist? AAA’s angles at least have twists and turns and end with matches that go longer than 10 minutes.
Rob
The CMLL matches do go longer than ten minutes. They are edited for tv.
The matches do not go longer than 10 minutes and TV rarely edits anything any more since things are so short live anyhow.
Rob
The edits are easy to spot.
