I though the parts of the Cibernetico we saw were good, and the opener was good. The main event is what you expect at this point.

LuchaWiki to v1.5
Around 5pm CT today, I’m planning on locking down the wiki to run an upgrade. It shouldn’t take long before it gets back up – an hour at most, I figure.
It’s the first of a couple of things we’re doing with the site; I’ll let you know.
Edit: Actually, I apparently needed to do TWO updates. Took me a full hour to get one worth (FTP dumb issues), so I’m going to take a break for now and try the second later tonight. I’ll update this again.
Edit 2: now that I realize all I’m doing is sitting around and doing nothing, I might as well do the next upgrade.
Edit 3: all done. Let me know if something doesn’t work for you!

Lucha2000, who’s promoting a 04/15 Solitario Tribute show at Arena Coliseo, says that Sabu will be joining Perros del Mal on the show. (You can see the magazine cover tease here)

Since it’s not a CMLL show, I don’t know if it’s going to carry over to the CMLL promoted shows. Sabu’s also supposed to be working an NGX show that weekend on Sunday.
Nacho Libre has been pushed back two weeks to June 16th, apparently to distance it between other major summer movies. There’s a behind the scenes Nacho Libre video podcast on iTunes that’s supposed to be good, but I haven’t watched it.

As first reported by el Halcon net last night (Alexis manages it as well, and it sounds as though it was announced on the Arena Coliseo show Sunday), Flecha will meet Stuka Jr. in a mask versus mask match this Sunday. There wasn’t much spotlight on this feud previously, but they had apparently been tearing each other’s masks on Coliseo shows for a month.
Sunday is the 63rd Anniversary celebration of Arena Coliseo’s opening, and they like to have a big match for these shows. Last year, over Sunday and Tuesday, they put together Shocker vs Vampiro (Vamp’s last match) and Mistico vs Rey Bucanero. This year, CMLL posted a Perro vs Universo rematch as mentioned on Saturday, and it’s not immediately clear if that match is still on in addition to the mask match.
I believed Stuka Jr. will win this match and keep his mask. He’s a young promising high flier who’s not quite ready for prime time yet, but could always use the boost. (And his mask is cool looking!) At this point, Flecha’s a long time good->pretty good worker who’s been in the opening matches of Mexico City shows for a long time and hasn’t never seemed to move up from there. He’s not going to be too tragically hurt by losing his mask.
I’d expect the match to turn up on Guerreros del Ring the weekend of 04/09.
and that’s not all: Over in Guadalajara on the same day, Neutron puts up his mask versus Maleficio’s hair. Neutron should keep his mask and it’d be a huge surprise if he didn’t.
Super Lucha #154 has Mistico and Warrior on the cover and a feature on the Blue Panther/Love Machine feud. (and no big Editor: Ocampo blurb?). There’s a few pages posted on the box y lucha board
Other Lineup Notes
– Halloween returns to action, working the main event of the Tijuana show on Saturday. That’s 2 months ahead of the expected 6 month recovery, which should surprise no one.
– AAA has a TV taping on Sunday with Zorro’s middleweight title on the line.
– Takemura returns to Mexico on the Friday Arena Mexico show. There’s still that Warrior/Mistico match too. Rosa Negra debuts for CMLL on the Sunday Arena Coliseo show; I’ve got one record of her working an early March show in Oaxaca and nothing else on her. Good name, though.
– Not listed, but there’s a concert scheduled for Arena Coliseo on the 1st.
quick 03/26 news: accion highilghts and nothing
The Ovaciones news wasn’t much – they tease the Warrior/Mistico mask match for the Arena Mexico anniversary show. That may not be the only mask match this month, but let me wait till I wake up to see how everything is played out.
Clips from Accion:
CMLL: Dos/Niebla/Panther vs Perro/Aguila/Terrible – showing off Aguila’s 450 splash.
AAA: Rey de Reyes! Octagon tope. Cibernetnicio lowblowing Park, and then Park doing a bunch to other poeple who had Park masks. Cibernetico and Vampiro were left in the ring, and did some stuff, and then Park got involved, and Vampiro rolled up Cibernetico for the win. Vampiro has black hair now and looks as much like a normal person as he ever has. Kinda disturbing.
