03/30 news: Box Y Lucha

In today’s ovaciones, Black Warrior lays out his three point plan to stop Mistico
1) Beat him in a singles match, thus forcing him into a mask match.
2) Take his mask
3) Permanently end his rise up the card (which 1+2 mostly accomplish)

Good luck on that.

Suicida faced Cerebro Negro tonight in a hair match after beating Dr. Cerebro for his two weeks ago.

Saturday is the start of CMLL cards in Arena Lopez Mateos for the year; Ovaciones says they’re running them every eight days, which can’t be correct.

Box Y Lucha #2759 is up. Besides the Brazo de Oro story
cover focuses on Warrior vs Mistico
poster features Dr. Wagner & Mistico, and Hiroka
– Rivals of Santo: Espanto I. In their Arena Mexico mask match, they both ended up with red masks from the amount of blood loss. Santo got on the camel clutch in the decidin fall, but Espanto would not submit. Ref Roberto Rangel stopped the match when Espanto passed out.
– Takemura talks about his return. He says he’s sticking around in Mexico a month, then returning in June for half a year, longer if he can find enough work. He wants to settle some old issues with Negro Casas and would like to team with Masada and Okumura to show Japan is better than Mexico.
– LA Park explains he has no issues with Dr. Wagner; he’s got issues with the people! What makes it more confusing is the people he means are the people who want him to turn rudo. LA Park says no one’s going to tell him which side to be on, and if the fans of CMLL are going to treat him like that, he’s going to be anti-CMLL.
– Random bio of Mil Mascaras. It claims his 1992 match with Canek was one of the best ever – could that possibly be true?
– Angel Blanco Jr. tries to clearify name issues. He’s one of two sons of the original Angel Blanco, but the first Angel Blanco Jr. was actually his brother-in-law. That one dropped the name after the brother-in-law divorced out of the family. The current Angel Blanco Jr. teamed with his brother as Hijo del Angle Blanco I & II, but when his brother retired due to leg injury, they went to the commission and signed over the complete rights to Angel Blanco Jr. He and Dr. Wagner Jr. share ownership of the Ola Blanca group name, so it stays in the family of those who created it. Angel Blanco Jr. also wants to state that no one in his family had problems with Solitario, another rumor.
– Bio of Rolando Vera.
– Rambo tells the story of his first match.
– Loco Max talks about how great it is to be in the Guerrero Pandilla. It’s great.
– A report on Meteorix’s injury. Nothing new
