Recaps of upcoming CMLL shows (a list)

Maybe this only makes MY life easier, but – I’m not really getting anything useful done today for numerous reasons, so here’s something semi-useful done.

I’d like to find a way to integrate match/show comments into the wiki (with them clearly being designated as opinions) but I haven’t spend much time thinking about it.

offtopic: We’re having a minor problem with wikispam (usual p*ker/dr*gs stuff; it happens here too, but there’s no change log for people to notice.) I think I might figure out the way to require an e-mail address when you sign up for the luchaWiki, but that shouldn’t affect most of you.

  1. I received this news last night regarding the lucha card for the congress theater 3/36/06

Due to financial concerns the Congress Theater lucha libre card for 3/26/06 has been cancelled.
I will keep everyone informed as to when the lucha cards will start up again.

  2. There are talks of doing an April 23rd card but at this point it’s just that, talk. It all comes down to how much dinero every one involved wants to put up.

  3. It comes down to alot more than five dollars!!!!

I think most people’s jaws would drop if they found out how much money is wasted on these
shows. In fact the owners of the Congress have to pay a tax for every show and regardless of wether the theater is full or not the tax is charged for the maximum capacity of people.

    And that’s just the tax.

Throw in the cost of paying the maineventers, then the cost of airfare and of hotel accomodations and meals, throw in the cost of the local wrestlers and
use of the ring, then throw in the cost of putting the show on with the lights and the sound and the
technicians who put it all together. Then throw in the cost of publicity materials. Then throw in the cost of the theater employees who work on those shows such as security and barstaff. And there are other costs involved as well.So is it any surprise
that the March lucha show was cancelled?
