CMLL (FRI) 02/24 Arena Mexico Results
1) Leono, Tigre Metálico b Apocalipsis, Hooligan
2) Metro, Sagrado, Tony Rivera b Hombre Sin Nombre, Ohara, Shigeo Okumura
3) Dos Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, Lizmark Jr. DQ Apolo Dantés, Máscara Año 2000, Rey Bucanero
Mascara Ano 2000 got hurt here, left after one fall, his team lost in two.
4) el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Héctor Garza, Terrible DQ Tarzan Boy, Último Guerrero, Universo 2000
Apolo Dantes and Cien Caras “returning from retirement” (and not coming back for a match – YET) ran in to help Universo. Ovaciones and a box y lucha forum report said Universo and Perro agreed to a hair match. CMLL’s site does not acknowledge this at all. I’d more readliy believe Perro Aguayo Jr. and Universo 2000 have decided to travel to Mars than they’ve agreed on a hair match.
5) Black Warrior, Mistico, Negro Casas b Atlantis, Averno, Mephisto
Rematch for the titles next week.
Also next week: Ultimo Guerrero is taksked with holding things together for the FBI’s Arena Mexico debut: Ultimo Dragon, Lizmark Jr., Dos Caras Jr. vs Stamboli, Palumbo, Guerrero.
Saturday is the Toryumon show, where Black Warrior is (already? still? oddly?) a rudo and after Ultimo Dragon, so guess which two guys are teaming in Arena Coliseo on Sunday? Main event: Ultimo Dragon, Dr. Wagner Jr., Black Warrior vs Johnny Stamboli, Chuck Palumbo, Pierroth. That match NEEDS to be on GdR.
Universo and Niebla meet in Puebla in a title match on Monday, and then in an non-title singles match in Coliseo on Tuesday.
Psicodelico Jr. returns to CMLL Mexico City rings next Sunday.
Mil Mascaras and the same crew who worked Chicago last night are working a show tommorow in Kansas City.
Galavision was the expected show. GdR is airing:
02/17 Arena Mexico: Sagrado, Texano Jr., Virus b Nitro, Ohara, Shigeo Okumura
02/19 Arena Coliseo: 5) Mistico b Último Guerrero

Oh my god… I finally predicted right! And it looks like the show has an actual format now!
Rob
Yeah, but not so good that Arena Mex segundas seem to be getting worse and worse by the week as most of the luchadors in that spot are….. well, lets just say none too spectacular. Towards the end of last year, they started to look not-so-great , The one that aired today looks nothing special, last nights was one of the weakest looking non-womens Arena Mex segunda in years, and next weeks doesn’t look much better either. :(
Rob, any news on whether CMLL aired for 2:45Hrs today? I want me some Leono and Tigre Metalico! :)
CMLL was 2:45. The entire Arena Mexico show made TV.
