CMLL Mini Line - 12/17/06 (#195)
Recapped: 04/16, 17, 19/06

Match 1: Nitro, Arkangel, Loco Max vs Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Texano Jr.
Arena Coliseo, 05/31/05

  1. tecnico
  2. rudos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 7:34
Approx Rating: Nothing special. Tecnicos didn't have much to unique to add.
Other Match Notes: No entrances; we fade out from the dancing straight into the guys ready to go. The Pandilla is all in red, while team vanilla are all wearing different outfits.

Ark an Alan start, battling for control over a headlock. Alan takes it down to the mat, and Ark rolls many times to get free, only for Alan to keep hanging on. Alan lets go for a second, and Ark get a takedown for zero. Armdrags, Alan forward rolls to taunt.  Lockup, Ark ends up with a takedown, but Alan armdrags him and out goes Ark. Alan follows him out, Ark begs off, and Nitro teases kicking Alan from the apron. Ark backs of more, but Alan eventually shoves him. Nitro and Texano in. Texano has long sideburns here. Nitro get armdrags, but Texano rallied back for a snap mare and backslide for one. Armbar reversed, and then reversed again, and we have a standoff. Nitro decides that's enough. Loco and Chris. Chris mocks Loco being loco. Chris isn't wearing a masks, but he does do the Guapos dance after a off the ropes evasion sequence. Loco, offended, clotheslines Chris, but Chris doesn't go down. Loco take a drop toe hold and a 619 on the next pass, and Alan adds a top rope moonsault to pick up the fall. (2:36) Nitro gets dropkicked out by Chris and Texano takes him out with a tope. Ark runs into a Chris backdrop, and that Stone brother adds a bodyscissors rollup for the fall. (2:56) Break

Again, Ark and Alan rare fighting as we join the match. This time, Ark gets the better of it with a big shoulderblock, and by blocking a hiptoss and knocking Alan down with a big open hand slap. Whip, head down too soon, Alan flips over Ark's back, puts him in an armbar, and hops up the ropes for a springboard dropkick. Dive tease - Nitro tries to surprise Alan when he turns around, but Nitro sis freaked out when Alan spots him. Clip here, I think. Loco is throwing Alan around by his hair, and if we haven't gotten to the beatdown before, we're clearly at it now - Chris is on the floor, so he can check on his brother when Alan's thrown out. Texano in, and he takes the corner moves. Corner clotheslines, corner clothesline, Nitro scoops Texano up and slams him for Loco Max to add a top rope splash. One two three. (1:35) Chris in, and Chris gets backdropped by Nitro. Ark adds a senton. Loco adds a splash one two three. (1:47) Alan in to fight it out, but that lasts for a good eight seconds before he's done for. Nitro throws him out of the ring by his hair. Replays.

Beatdown continues into the second fall. Alan, wearing red, is overwhelmed by the red on the other team. Double backdrop for him, and Loco adds  senton, but doesn't pin. Perhaps a mistake. Alan thrown out. Who's next? Chris in, and choked over the top rope by Loco. He must've got kicked questionably low, because he's selling a low blow and rolling out. Texano wants in, but is only allowed in when Chris rolls out. double hiptoss for him, and Loco adds the dropkick to knock him out. Chris back in, for real this time.  What are they going to do? They're not quite sure. They walk Chris halfway across the ring for a corner back elbow, a corner clothesline, and spread his legs so Loco an dropkick him questionably low. That one seems a low blow for sure, but the refs aren't calling it. Alan brought in a again, and given a double press slam. Loco directs traffic, which is never a good sign. Triple dropkick - fails when Chris and Texano pull out two guys and Alan tilt-a-whirl backbreaker Ark. Beatdown is on - well, sorta, because Nitro reverses a Texano whip into a drop toe hold on the ramp, and Loco reverses a whip to send Chris into the pole. In the ring, Ark gets in on the action by knocking down Alan, but he misses on a top rope somersault senton. Another look at the outside, and then back to the ring to see Ark clearly low blow uppercut Alan. Lots of crowd shots make it more confusing, but we end up with one ref counting the fall, but the other referee stopping the count and awarding it to Alan. The final call sticks (DQ 2:54) and the rudos try to figure out how they lost that one.

Match 2: Damián 666 (c), Halloween, Terrible vs Universo 2000 (c), Satanico, Mascara Magica
Arena Mexico, 06/03/05

  1. Rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:59
Approx Rating: Usual brawl.
Other Match Notes:
Ke Monito is out with Satanico of all people. Mascara Magica has his ridicules vest. Magica and Universo decides to rush FdT as they enter, which is a good move because Terrible is out last.

FdT still controls it, with Satanico selling Terrible's punches wonderfully. Damian has a Luchas2000 vest. Damian goes for Ke Monito - so that's why he's out there - and teases doing something for quite a while. He and Halloween finally settle on the smallest double back elbow of all time. Halloween adds a completely unnecessary senton before Santo can pull him to safety. Magica's worked over in the ring for a while, as Universo's held near the ropes and Satanico is yanked around by his hair. Corner clotheslines, Whisper in the Wind, and Satanico's crotched around the post. Magica tries to help, but crotches himself on a dropkick, and FdT pull him around the post too. Universo gets the 3 on 1. Triple dropkick, Terrible splash, one two three. (2:27) Replays. Break.

Vignette: FdT tell us to vote for Raquel Bigorra on Big Brother. Okay. I obviously don't get what's going on, because she's there with them, and I thought the point of the show was they were all stuck in a house/tv set. I guess she's trying to get voted onto the show? I don't really care.

Beatdown is still on. Magica's held for a Terrible elbow drop. Satanico pulls his partner to safety, only go get beat in his place. Double boot for him. Universo tries to make a run, and gets in shots on everyone for a while, but they eventually just pound him into the ground. Corner whip, Halloween's whipped in after him, but Universo drops him with a spear. Terrible and Damian are yanked out by the other tecnicos and worked over as Universo gets some revenge on Halloween in the ring. Halloween takes the chest first slide to the floor, and all the rudos are left laying rather quickly. Terrible's brought in for Universo's side to work over. Corner back elbow, corner clothesline, and Magic slingshots him into a Universo hiptoss. Universo adds a dropkick to the back to send him out. Damian in, but he's getting no where. Whip, back elbow, clothesline, Universo and Satanico hold open Damian's legs for Magica to dropkick, Halloween clotheslines Magica and tries to dropkick his opponents, but they move and Damian gets the dropkick anyway.  Magica gives Halloween a wheelbarrow suplex and holds on for a pin. (2:29). Double submission Damian, and he's done as well. (2:34) Monito back in - will he get in his shots? FdT leave the ring, but Satanico holds Halloween down the floor so Monito can splash him. One more kick for good measure. Replays.

Straight in to the third fall, with the rudos on ramp. Are they going to walk out? No, I think they're just posing for the moment. They're posing on their way back to the stage. What shirt is Damián wearing that everyone's so happy about? I'm thinking its' a Mexican futbol jersey - maybe America? I think that's what they say. Universo and Damian start, lots of chest slaps, with Universo eventually sending Damian out with a catapult. Universo spends a great deal of time waiting for Damian to get up (he's taking off his shirt at the same time, which slows it down.) Damian ducks down on the dive tease, so Universo stops and slaps him in the back. Halloween into get Universo, but Universo tags Magica and now Halloween is walking out. Lots of chest slaps. Magica works in the dropkick to the knee, but we don't see a lot of the rest, as they go split screen to show us a kid from the telethon who's CMLL's #1 fan. Mascara Magica visited with the kid, because he's a nice sometimes rudo (and Shocker's long gone.) Magica gets in a seated tornado DDT and a dropkick to send Halloween out in the meantime. In the ring now is Terrible and Satanico, with Terrible wining a test of strength only for Satanico to dropkick him. Terrible has great insane faces. Satanico works the match up as the more agile guy, since he can't win the strength. He does manage to back elbow Terrible off the apron, and hit the running senton to the floor. Magica and Halloween in again, and Halloween gets dropkicked while taking off his shirt (again). Whip, reversed, Magica gets caught so Halloween can try the F5 - well, no, Halloween drops him, kicks him in the midsection. Double underhook - I think he's expanding his repertoire of WWE finishes, but it's actually a double underhook piledriver (and it was unquestionably a piledriver - actually, I guess the refs have a question.) One two three. (3:22) Dr. Morales is with me. The refs do call for help, but the mat appears to keep going on - Universo spears Halloween for one two three. (3:31) The Doctor is in to check on Magica, though I'm sure this match is still going. I don't think Blue Demon Jr. is out to check on Magica, or complain to his allies about using a piledriver. Either. Demon is wearing a shirt that says "rudo" on it, in case you're ordering. He's also got his cell phone on him, so I don't think he's going to fight. Universo bumps Damian around, but Halloween sneaks in a shot with the stairs from the outside, and Damian covers. One two three. (3:58) Demon applauds his side hard earned win. That was such a total piledriver. These refs should be fined! There's the back board to take Magica out. Damian cuts a promo. "Shut up, everybody!" Hey, I know more Spanish than I thought! Replay shows that Magica did slightly turn his body not to take it directly on his head (neck and upper shoulders). Damian's talking, but the announcers are paying no mind, just breaking down the piledriver and the finish. Break.

Vignette: Seccion Azul - some kids in Altantis makss are fighting, but the stop to mark out for the real life Atlantis coming to the ring. Atlantis has lessons to teach these kids:
Lesson 1: La lucha no es un juego, !no la imites! Lucha libre is not a game. Do not imitate it!
Atlantis leads them thru calisthenics
Lesson 2: Haz ejercicio diariamente Exercise daily.
Lesson 3: Come Frutas y Verduras Eat your fruits and vegetables
Atlantis shows off his biceps.

Next week, Atlantis will visit his fans in the hospital. You can't miss that. The kids sing an Atlantis song. For real!

Stellar Moments
Combination:
Karissma and Argos both hit thru the ropes tope con giros on the Romans.
Castigo: Sgt. Flecha gives Sombra de Plata a double jump elbow drop.
Tecnico: Marvin hits a enziguri form the outside on Okumura, then double jumps into a tornillo on Sangre Azteca
Dive: Dos Caras over the top rope tope on Ultimo
Spectacular: Mistico dives off the over hang on the stage onto Hector Garza.

Vignette: Pierroth and La Nazi tell us to vote for Raquel. Do you really want Pierroth's endorsement? He orders us to vote, actually.

Vignette: Heavy Metal is lifting hard for the Cage of Death match. Mistico and Negro meet with him. Metal goes over his hardcore workout to get ready. I think it involves more than fruits and vegetables.

Match 3: Perro Aguayo Jr. (c), Hector Garza, Pierroth vs Mistico, Heavy Metal, Negro Casas (c)
Arena Mexico, 06/03/05

  1. tecnicos
  2. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 6:28
Approx Rating: One sided brawl with a short comeback; nothing to see her
Other Match Notes:
Metal wearing the IWRG Trios belt, of course. Rudos come out separate. Perro's first, and he opts to wait on the ramp. All the rudos end up hanging outside the ring, but we see Perro yank Mistico out of the ring and toss him in to the crowd (Mistico doing a cartwheel over the first rail. Apparently the rudos decided to attack while we were looking at the match up graphics, because the tecnicos are getting beat down

Pierroth pulls out his suplex on Heavy Metal. They work in the ring, while Perro and Garza take the other two around the ring. One girl really wants to touch Mistico. Perro gets quite the reaction just by walking around on the ramp. Tecnicos are quite totally beaten down. Garza suplexes Mistico, Pierroth adds a powerbomb, Garza adds a powerbomb and they're about to do more when Negro comes in to distract them for a bit. They still keep Mistico in, so Pierroth can suplex him - twice! Perro works in a German suplex. They seem to be enjoying themselves, tossing Mistico around and beating him with no problem. Garza gives Mistico a fireman's carry diamond cutter, and Perro rips off Mistico's match flagrantly. (DQ 3:21) Pierroth is the only rudo who seems the slightest bit upset about losing the fall; the other two are working over the Casas brothers. Garza's doing a bit where a women gets to take off his shirt each match, and the bit's over with the women.

Beatdown goes on between falls. Perro gets in some words with the announcers before Metal stops him (and then Metal gets worked over.) Mistico's disappeared - gone to the back for a new mask, surely - so we're killing them with the rudos working over the Casas brothers till he makes his return. He's really perfected the art of running in on your own match. Pierroth sees him coming, but Mistico gives him a horrible drop toe hold. And then Garza ends it by just booting Mistico in the gut. Crowd behind Mistico, and it looks like the rudos might be able to do something moronic. Pierroth, on the ramp, whips him to Garza, at the ropes, who boosts him into the ring (god knows why), allowing Mistico to dropkick Perro. That plan lacked a bit. Perro goes out, and Mistico is out right after him with a tope, taking Perro into the second rope. Casas brothers bring the other two rudos in to work over. They kill time till they get into sharpshooters to tease submissions, and Perro and Mistico come back in, with Mistico immediately getting La Mistica (3:07) Break.

We come back for the post match - which would appear to be Pierroth getting belted by the tecnicos. Mistico wants a mask vs hair match, and the rudos just laugh. Perro teases accepting it and we go to replays; somewhere in here, Mistico joins the cage match in two weeks. Perro's still talking after the replays, and then the rudos rush the tecnicos. Perro gets Mistico's mask again.

Match 4: Ultimo Guerrero (c), Rey Bucanero, Olimpico vs Groond XXX, LA Park, Dr. Wagner Jr. (c)
Arena Mexico, 06/03/05

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:45
Approx Rating: Better than you'd expect, because they don't try to do too much with Groon.
Other Match Notes:
Dr. Wagner's entrance is clipped. LA Park's all decked out for this - uh, incident. One of the valets gives Groon a great look. Ultimo's wearing his belt and kicking around Groon's jacket. GdI is wearing mustard yellow for the occasion. Three brave souls try an Olimpico chant. Break, right in the middle of announcing captains.

Six way standoff to start. Guerreros end up back off - Ultimo to rally the few fans who are cheering for him. They show the clip of Groon breaking his leg - this is the sort of thing that happens when Televisa owns your rights, I suppose - but I can't imagine why that clip is the one Groon clip you show. Meanwhile, Rey and Wagner have an opening I can't actually pay attention to because there's a guy breaking his leg right in the other half of the screen. Rey gets the early edge, then taken the monkey flip over the ropes (but lands on his feet at slow speed.) Wagner follows him out, gets taken down, but still sends Rey into the front row fans with boots. Park and Ultimo next, with Park strutting and dancing, with UG doesn't appreciate. Now they'll take turns posing in the corner. Chest slaps are about even, so Park takes off his glove (with some help from Wagner) and gets in a big one. Park slips a bit going off the ropes, but they get their usual exchange, Park sending UG out with a headscissors and scaring the other rudos out of the corner. Park walks back in to his corner and tags in Groon. No one want a part of Groon, who's too busy spazzing out to care. The Guerreros argue among themselves about who should go in, and Olimpico gets the short straw. Olimpico decides to charge and try a shoulderblock, but Groon is unmoved. Again, no movement by Groon. A third time, Olimpico tries a clothesline, Groon ducks, off the ropes, shoulderblock. Olimpico rolls out to consider his life, and Ultimo and Rey both take his spot. Their double shoulderblock works! Taunt. Groon is pulled back up and take a short double clothesline without moving. Ultimo and Rey try a running version, Groon ducks again, off the ropes, double clothesline for Ultimo and Rey. Groon celebrates and clotheslines Ultimo and Rey out. Is he going to dive? Heck no! Park does, going thru the ropes to armdrags Ultimo (sending him into a women who is a bit slow to move out of the way.) Olimpico comes in, but his kick gets caught by Dr. Wagner and and he takes a dragon screw leg whip. Wagner gets Olimpico in a grounded octopus (5:46) and Groon gives Rey a chokeslam. (5:50) Everyone lived, yay. Crowd chants for WAGNER. Rey complains about - Mistico? Focus! One freak at a time. Replays. Break.

Somehow, Groon's left alone in the ring versus Olimpico and Ultimo as the fall starts, and they work Groon's big leg brace leg. Rey and Park are brawling by the front row, and I have no idea where Wagner went, but his partners could use him. There's Wagner, battling it out with Olimpico in the ring, but Olimpico gets the better of him and dropkicks. Ultimo slams Groon, and just looks at him. Par k and Rey have made their way to the ramp, but they're just in a standoff. Ultimo's setting up Groon on the ropes for the ramp GdI sit, so Rey disposes with Park (actually knocking him off the ramp and into the stands), and then runs into Olimpico's boost and lands the big sit on Groon. Groon rolls to the floor, and the Guerreros work over Wagner and Park. Wagner's brought in and taken down by Rey. Ultimo lifts Olimpico on to his shoulders, and Olimpico comes off with a legdrop on Wagner. Park in and trying to make a comeback thru chest slaps, but Ultimo stops him. Park's set up on the top rope for Ultimo, and Ultimo wastes no time in giving him the Guerrero Special. One two three. (2:22) Guerrero celebrate like they've won. Wagner actually realizes the fall isn't over, and attacks Olimpico as the others work over Groon. Olimpico gets the better of Wagner with a double leg pull submission (3:04) and now we're actually done. Replays, no break.

Guerreros are milling around as the fall starts, but they bring Wagner back in for the Bucanero Castigo combo. Groon's up to the apron,, so he's gently brought in. Rey mocks Groon's posing, and then Groon's whipped into the corner. Olimpico's whipped in after him, Groon moves out of the way and Olimpico hits the corner. Groon charges out but meets a double kick from Ultimo and Rey. Double suplex? No, Groon double suplex! Groon roars as the comeback is on. Park works over Ultimo as Wagner clears the ring. Groon goes out of the ring to fight someone, and he can't find anyone o fight. I think they're purposefully making themselves scarce, but instead we get a long look of Park boot choking Ultimo and Groon wandering around. Rey's talking to the announcers again. Much better idea than fighting Groon. Action's dead at the moment though. Now Rey's hanging gout in the front row. Everyone finally just goes to their corners, and we get Ultimo vs Park again. Park has a nice powerslam, but he armdrags Olimpico as he comes in rather than cover. Olimpico sets Park on the top rope, but Park slaps him away and uses the second rope to headscissors Rey as he come sin. Olimpico charge Park and takes a hiptoss to the floor. Ultimo gets knocked down, Park charges him, and takes the monkey flip tope con giro! That was very crazy. Wagner's in and being worked over by Ultimo as Rey keeps Groon from entering the ring. Wagner ducks down on Ultimo's corner charge, and Ultimo takes the knee bump to the floor. Wagner charges Rey, and trips him in the middle turnbuckle. Powerbomb, off the ropes, dropkick to the head. Wagner stares at the crowd. Slam, no, Rey slips behind, fireman's carry, holding him up there for a while - oh no, Groon grabs Rey in a waistlock while Rey's still holding Wagner up. I have no idea what crazy spot they were teasing (except it had to be crazy), and we don't get to see because Ultimo is back in to dropkick him. Wagner hiptosses Rey to the ramp, Rey rolls to the floor, and Wagner goes out to the apron for his tope con giro from there. That leaves Ultimo and Groon in. Ultimo's clothesline has no effect. Crowd cheering for GRONDA. Again, no budge on the clothesline. Off the ropes, and Groon gets Ultimo with a clothesline. Double thumb across the throat for Groon. Goozle, choke lift, and Ultimo kicks Groon low. Everyone saw it, and that's it. (3:51) Ultimo doesn't seem too bothered. Groon is selling it like he might have lost something down there. Break.

Replays of the final fall spots.
