Sin Limite #134S
Aired: 03/12/05 (LA)
Recapped: 06/12-14/05
Match 1: Pierroth (c), Tarzan Boy, Emilio Charles Jr. vs
Atlantis (c), Blue Panther, Lizmark Jr.
Arena Coliseo, 03/30/04
Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 10:35
Approx Rating: nothing wrong with it, but nothing noteworthy either
Notes: All the sound seems far away, which makes it hard for me to catch the
opening whistle.
Beat down to start. Blue Panther's wrestling with a taped right shoulder. Pierroth starts working over Blue Panther with his belt. Lots of shots, which would be impressive if they looked as if they hurt. At least they mix it up with belt clothesline for Atlantis. They work over Lizmark and actually pin him. That ends the fall - I guess Blue Panther gave up to the belt shots earlier. Looking at it again on this replay, there are arm waving motions that are close enough to call it. Look, I'm not even questioning why it's not a DQ any more, I've totally given in.
Atlantis thrown in so they can continue the beatdown. Panther's turn, and he gets a spinebuster before rolling back out. Atlantis gets cornered. Double whip, triple boot for him. Lizmark in. Tarzan distracts so the rest can attack. Triple boot for him. Panther back in. He's whipped into a double trip and a double yank out of the ring. Pierroth wants to do the same to Atlantis, and actually pulls it off. Lizmark's turn. Meanwhile, Pierroth's taking forever, and Atlantis and Panther have turned it around on the outside. Pierroth tries tow hip Lizmark, Lizmark reverses it, and Pierroth is the one who gets tripped up. Lizmark elbow drops Pierroth, and the other two double suplex him. Lizmark standing moonsault one two three. (2:39) Rudos back off between falls, but Pierroth's stuck in the ring and gets a good shot from Pierroth's belt. La Nazi gets scared away from the ring. Tecnicos now getting either comeback in between falls.
Back to a normal match, Lizmark and Pierroth starting it off. Normal sequence. La Nazi helps out Pierroth with a distraction, but gets booted by Pierroth on a double team gone bad. Emilio and Atlantis. We miss the early bit, but this is also just how you might expect. Emilio takes two tilt-a-whirl backbreakers and still gets up - only to take one more. That 's it, now he's leaving. Panther and Tarzan. Tarzan takes the flying bump into the turnbuckle. Powerbomb by Panther and a low blow headbutt - which he gets the refs to agree is not a low blow. Lizmark and Pierroth. Chop battle. Lizmark's superkick is a bit low. His pescado knocks out both members of Pierroth's army, and we go immediately into the finish from there. Blue Panther and Tarzan completely blow their 'rana reversal into an STF, and the leg scissors is what they settle for.
Match 2: Tigre Blanco (c), Neutron, Pantera vs
Dr. X (c), Hooligan, Loco Max
Arena Mexico, 04/02/04
Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 12:07
Approx Rating: good, but clips caused second fall to drag.
Other Notes: Loco Max has his stuffed animal. He ends up giving it to a
front row fan.
Might have had a clip early. Loco and Tigre to start, Tigre with an armdrag, and he forward rolls up to his feet. Lockup, Loco with waistlock, front facelock, Tigre with a hammerlock reversal, Loco with an armdrag reversal. High fives for all the rudos. Loco with a single leg, legbar, Tigre reverse to an arm scissors, pulling it for a cross armbreaker, Loco is able to stand up and roll Tigre back, Tigre gets a single leg to take Loco back down, Loco whiffs on an armdrag, and Tigre pins him to a mat with a knee on his right arm. Loco manages to get free and kip up, but Tigre forces him back down. Reverse hammerlock by Tigre, with Loco forcing his way up, and into the ropes. Tigre shoves him away, charges, and monkey flips Loco away. Loco rolls out and recovers. CLIP but without a horrible attempt at disguise. Neutron and Dr. X, X ending up with a hammerlock. Neutron looks for a way out, but Dr. X ends up forcing him down with a modified fujiwara armbar. Dr. X tries to roll him over for a cover, but Neutron hooks Dr. X for a rana one two no. Both up. Dr. X charges, leg trip, but caught in a headscissors by Neutron. Both up, Neutron leveled by a Dr. X clothesline. Dr. X knocks down Neutron with a chop and armbar, but Neutron kips and armdrag up. CLIP. Pantera and Hooligan and I really can't do much with this matchup because these two are looking very similar on my TV screen. Too much black. I can tell who they re when they're not tangled up with each other, which is of course the problem. Same mat wrestling exchange type of thing as the other two. They try for the most, but I don't know that they actually hit the most. Hooligan takes the corner knee bump the floor, and Pantera scares the world with his running up the ropes reverse tope con giro-like move to the floor. I'm pretty sure he meant to do it that way, but it sure looked he slipped as was going to land on his head. Two standing rudos try to work over Neutron, but Blanco comes into help. Neutron nearly flies over Dr. X on the top rope reverse tope, but gets the pin first. And since Dr. X is the captain, I don't have to try to explain the wacky hold Tigre has Loco Max in. That's great.
Break.
No time wasted to start the fall (or we clip to the start) - Dr. X ducks a Neutron clothesline and slaps him down. Chest slap. Corner whip, reversed, Dr. X flips over the corner to land on the apron and celebrates his agility, Neutron runs up the ropes and comes down with a headscissors, taking Dr. X to the floor. Definite clip to Loco Max working over Tigre in a corner. Corner whip, reversed, Tigre charges in, Loco tosses him up, Tigre handstands, Loco celebrates and gets kicked in the back. Tigre charges out of the corner with a spinning headscissors. Loco Max rolls to the floor, as Hooligan sticks up for his partner. Hooligan hiptoss is reversed, and he gets sent to the floor via monkey flip. (Maybe he's related to REY.) Tigre pulls off a thru the ropes spinning headscissors to the floor to finish the sequence. Another clip takes us to Pantera giving Loco Max a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster. Loco rolls out again in pain, and Dr. X comes in. X knocks down Pantera with chops. Maybe another clip? Double whip for Neutron, Dr. X gives him a takedown ad a running somersault senton. Loco adds a middle rope splash for the pin (2:09) Pantera and Tigre are worked over as they try to break the pin. Mostly with weak looking kicks. We get a replay of the gutbuster as the rudos start to set up the second pin, and just come back in time to see Dr. X (forcing Tigre to bridge up) and Loco Max (holding down his shoulders) holding down Tigre for the pin. (2:41) Looks like Pantera takes a Alabama Slam as well. Replays show Dr. X gave Tigre a behind the back face first powerbomb, so there you go.
Beatdown continues into fall 3. Double whip four Neutron, double back elbow by Loco and X. They roll him up to his knees for a Hooligan dropkick. Tigre Blanco in, and stopped by a Loco Max dropkick. Held for chest slaps. Double whip, double backdrop by Loco and Hooligan. Loco adds a running elbow drop. Loco looking around at the crowd, waiting for Pantera. Whip, and backdrop for Pantera by Hooligan. Loco ads a senton. Rudos kick Pantera in the corner. Corner whip, Loco corner splash, Hooligan, corner clothesline, Dr. X running boot. Hooligan boot chokes Pantera as Loco stops Tigre from coming in. Neutron slips in and dropkicks Loco, but Dr. X stops him. Neutron is thrown out, as Hooligan is still working over Pantera. Now both tecnicos try making a run at the same time, and get the better of it - Dr. X and Loco max are rammed into each other. Hooligan starts to help, but gets taken down from behind by Pantera. Comeback is on. We don't see anything particularly special, although it looks like they were trying something wacky with Loco Max. Quickly and quietly, it settles back to a one on one. Dr. X works over Neutron with chests alps, but it goes bad when Loco tries to help form outside. Dr. X tries to go the ropes, and gets backdropped by Tigre. Dr. X gets up quick, because he was actually planning on getting dropkicked by Neutron. Tigre teases dive, but gets yanked out of the ring by Loco. Loco comes in, ducks a Neutron clothesline, and gives him a reverse waistlock rollup. Both sets of shoulders are down - one two three! (3:29) Loco seems unaware of what exactly happened there, and Pantera dropkicks him out of the ring before he can figure out. Meanwhile, Tigre Blanco knocks Dr. X to the floor, and now gets to hit a thru the ropes senton to the floor! Hooligan and Pantera in the ring - Hooligan sunset flip, one two no. Pantera tries bodyscissors, Hooligan pounds him in the back to block it, one two no. Pantera's headscissors cradle is blocked, but the bodyscissors version works - one two three. (4:25) That's the match.
Match 3: Ultimo Guerrero (c), Rey Bucanero, Terrible vs
Shocker (c), Mascara Magica, Canek
Arena Mexico, 04/02/04
Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 9:16
Approx Rating: fine, but mostly a revenge brawl
Other Match Notes: It's not the same entrance without the GdI music. Monito
is with Shocker. Shocker rushes the ring, and Mascara Magica is right behind
him. It doesn't work so well for them. Canek's music sounds like someone else's
music, but it's still dubbed in after.
Beatdown to start the match. We watch Rey holding Canek down while there has to be more interesting things going on. Rey beat up Monito before the match, we see. Canek takes a double backdrop. Shocker tries to help out. We take a look at the rabid fans, but they don't have their cue. Magica's being worked over - he and Shocker went with the matching orange/yellow-ish tights. Canek worked over in the ring while Terrible takes Magica on a tour of ringside. Terrible works over his head a lot, but we don't get to see it. I presume blood, and one clip later, we see Magica bleeding quite a bit. Beatdown is still on. Crowd is chanting for Shocker, and he takes his turn getting bad. Double whip, double hip toss bomb, held up for a Terrible big boot. Canek's turn. Clip? Yea, we come back just in time for Rey to land the ramp variation of the GdI sit/splash. Still beating the tecnicos down. It's only been three minutes our time, but much longer in actual. Terrible gives Magica a fireman's carry into a Rock Bottom. Rey has an elaborate setup for a bulldog. Ultimo has a crazy gutwrench powerbomb which involves lifting Magica up three different times. Referees stop the fall right there, though I think I can see Magica wave them off (3:53), but the rudos are not done. Terrible sits on a corner, and Rey and Ultimo load up Magica for him - second rope superbomb! Too bad it cost them the fall. (4:22) Shocker and Canek try to stop the carnage and get beatdown some more.
Break.
They're going after Canek's match as we start the second fall. He's tossed out before it can get started. Beatdown goes on. Lots of kicking and stomping. Everyone back in to boot Shocker. Magica brought in for Terrible to slap around. Boot for him. He's beat to his knees. The comeback spot is mistimed and not great - after some confusion about if Terrible was going to run or Magica was going to be whipped, Terrible went towards the ropes, and Magica just randomly broke free from Ultimo and Rey, and Terrible did nothing as Magica clotheslined him. Revenge beat downs around the ring. Terrible into the post. Magica beats Terrible around in the ring, going for the revenge blood by biting at Terrible's head! Ew. Magica battles Terrible out, landing a jumping elbow to knock his rival to the floor. There was a lack of big moves in that exchange. Ultimo and Canek sequence. Same Canek sequence as always, but with a top rope splash. One two NO. There's the press slam. Rey breaks it up - but knocked his partner to the floor in the process. Canek clothesline Rey, topes Ultimo - Ultimo fell more to his side than back. Shocker comes in with boots for both standing rudos - and nailed the ref by accident, but gets a low blow uppercut from Terrible. Magica in and flattening Terrible with a clothesline. Rey grabs hold of Magica, Terrible tries a running low blow kick, Magica gets free and Rey takes it! Magica wraps Terrible in a side headscissors cradle, one two three. (4:54) Even though he's not the captain, they call the match there anyway. The fight still looks to go on for a little bit, but we're watching the long shots.
That's it.
