Box Y Lucha #2741 is up. Lucha magazines in general appear to go to press on Sunday to be on newsstands on Monday, so Eddie Guerrero’s death couldn’t have been covered until this week. That’s the case here; Eddie’s on the cover and poster, and I’m sure a long article, but it doesn’t make the web. The main stories:
– Shocker’s still working on doing the Guapo U thing in AAA
– Super Porky relates his WWE adventure. If I’m reading this right, he’s still waiting for the full time contract to be sent to him. Not a good sign: he had trouble getting in the building at the taping because No One Knew Who He Was. Porky only thinks he’s working Monday and Tuesdays for WWE, so he hopes he’s free to work with CMLL on his off days.
– Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, Negro Casas and Blue Panther put aside their rivalaries and hug out with the kids from the yearly Telethon for a day.
– there’s another story I think about some problems with a Texano benefit show in Guadalajara, but I can’t make sense of it.

So how did Perro and Ultimo get the WWA Tag Titles? Weren’t Santo and Perro the last champs? Did they do a one on one for the titles or something?
Perro and Santo were champions, and since they could no longer be buddies, they had a match a while back with new partners. I think it might have been Mistico last time too. Perro and Ultimo won that one, and again here.
Gotcha….just couldn’t find the change listed anywhere (including in the title history section here, *nudge nudge*)
