09/20 news

Box y Lucha updated, two weeks in a row! Cover is the hair match finish. Poster features Negro Casas, and the Mexican Trios Champions. Inside #2732:

– Latin Lover assures us that even though he’s on Dancing With The Stars, he’s still going to find time to wrestle.
– LA Park is part of a movie called El Angel, La Muerte y El Cazador. Filming starts 09/25, lasts 8 weeks and will at least partly take place in other countries; he mentions going to Colombia and Central America. I don’t think he’ll stop wrestling the whole time, but he probably won’t be around as much till it’s done. More importantly, LA Park says he will face Black Tiger in Torreon sometime in November in a mask/mask match. That’s why Silver King hasn’t just dropped the identity; he’s planning to make a little more money off of it. It’s going to be interesting to see how people react when he’s revealed.
– post surgery interview with Texano Sr. Surgery lasted six hours, and he was in intensive care for a day, which is two less than normal. He believes he’ll be able to walk again soon (though he has a knee also needing work), but he has a lot of rehab ahead of him and isn’t sure if he’ll be able to make it to the 10/02 tribute show.
– monthly “Mr. Niebla would like to come back to CMLL” article. As usual, they reference ‘personal problems’, and Mr. Niebla instead talks about knee pain. (Or maybe I’m being too literal and the knee pain caused the personal problems.)
– Satanico talks about his start in wrestling.

Ovaciones is all interviews today.

– Your IGWP champions are thrilled to be in the Gran Prix this Friday. Tanahashi is looking forward to facing Santo. Nakamura wants to annihilate Rey Bucanero. That seems a bit harsh. They have a hate/respect thing going with GdI. As for Mexico itself, Tanahashi and Nakamura have found it less criminally dangerous than they were warned, and enjoy the food fine. They expect to be on the 10/08 NJPW Tokyo Dome show.

– Halcon Dorado (Jr.), who’s retired for six years but has appeared on recent Paucha cards, is hoping to get back into AAA.
