What’s On? Uh, I dunno.

TLN: This is the last week, right? At least you’re going out with a nice main event: Santo/Atlantis/Negro Casas/Mistico vs Averno/Tarzan Boy/Rey Bucanero/Ultimo Guerrero

Saturday: Back to normal times for the first time in a few weeks. The show itself is a bit more questionable: the next show in the order didn’t actually air in Mexico because it was the weekend of the Pope’s passing. It did air in Japan – that’s where I’ve grabbed the listings – but episodes which don’t air in Mexico tend not to make it to Galavision.

They could reair an old episode, they could air a AAA episode, or they could skip to the next episode in line:

– MascaraY2K/Mephisto/Averno vs Atlantis/Panther/Porky
– Sagrado/Safari/Maximo/Mascara/Misterioso vs Nitro/X/Sangre/Hooligan/Koreano [ciber]

– Wagner/Mistico/Negro vs Damian/Halloween/Pierroth

Sunday: Normal time, and I’m more confident of the lineup. Decent show, which I’ve actually recapped but haven’t bothered to put up – oops.

Goodbye August. I’ll miss your many many days in purple.

Slow day. Tommorow will be the same, I figure.

The next big day of news will be Tuesday, when the Anniversary card is scheduled to come out. The CMLL explaination for no Atlantis/Wagner is “we couldn’t get them to sign the contracts”, which is probably true.

The rest of the notes are previews of the Arena Neza card and the IWRG/Scorpio Jr. tribute shows today.

I was gonna go write up halcon.net – I actually read it last night, but they’re down. As best I can remember
– Interview with Sagrado. Sagrado’s wearing a bad ripoff looking WWF Attitude style “CMLL Tradition” shirt at the start.
– Q&A with Ultimo Guerrero
– Brief discussion with Hector Garza on his hair match with Pierroth.
– Arena Mexico, Arena Queretaro and LLF results.

There may be one more interview I’m forgetting.

CMLL workers will be on the 09/09 DragonDoor show. The Tiger (Ultimo Dragon) teams up with Maximo (yes, Maximo) to take on Ultimo Guerrero & Rey Bucanero to continue teasing the Ultimo/Ultimo mask match I’d guess, and Brazo de Plata and Brazo de Oro face the Original Tiger Mask and Gran Hamada in a match someone was demanding. If you are that someone, say hi.

Do you think with Maximo and Texano Jr. getting overseas gigs, Volador Jr. gets depressed a lot? That’s got all the makings of a horrible drinking problem.

Did KrisZ on RadioFigure4 go well? I hope so. The free shows are fun enough that I’d almost pay for an audio-update subscription.
