Tarzan pulled Rayo’s mask in the first fall and got caught, and Rayo pulled his own mask and threw it to Tarzan, who got caught again in the second fall. They meet in a singles match on Sunday.
CMLL will be running Gabriel Ramos Millan gym in Tolcua on 09/10, with two lucha matches, and also one greco-roman and one freestyle amateur match. They’re trying to drum up interest in the amateur style.
It’s Canek, not Canek Jr. who’s headlining IWRG this Thursday. The Mr. Person is most likely the new Pierroth II. I feel like I should start call the old one Pierroth Classic or Pierroth Original to keep this straight.
Avisman beat Gigolo Americano on Sunday for his hair. Avisman’s on a bit of a roll lately.
On Sunday, el Hijo del Santo puts his mask up in a six way cage stakes match (Diluvio Negro, Vikingo, Silver Star, Centurion Negro, Gato Volador) for Arena Solidarida’s 14th anniversary show.

The pre-show opener from Sunday’s Coliseo show was Bacteria & Black Blade b el Jabali & Comando Mega in a one fall match of Tony Salazar trainees. I’m thinking “pre-show opener CMLL” should be considered the same as “first two matches IWRG” as far as names and gimmicks sticking; anyone they like is going to be repackaged probably.
Danger, listed as debuting next Saturday, is also a Tony Salazar trainee.

wiki update
Moved the Gran Alternativa over to wiki, with the 2005 results added. It’s a rough draft.
Did I do a Leyenda de Plata one before? Did I ask this before?
Things high on my priority list
– adapting the accented names to the roster database I currently have
– coming up with a script to take any submitted text and translate the anglo/unaccented names into the accented names, with optional wiki links
– finding a way to have wiki or a script autodiscover other articles; the ease of the wiki interface is completely pointless if we spend the saved time on putting brackets around everything; it’s a common problem so someone must’ve solved it already.
– putting together a good explaination for Rose City Rudo and anyone else who would like to
– adding rudo/tecnico designations
– fix vacant title issues with database
– snip the pictures I’ve got laying around and put them up
Plus a recap, and I should get back to Jose’s e-mail today. And maybe watch the Cubs.
This should be enough to keep me from watching RAW live…

08/14 news
Not much going on today. Ovaciones says Arena Neza will be running Thursday and Sundays, and Rey’s getting an NWA LH Title shot down the line.
Super Luchas’ cover features the Pierroth Family; of note, there’s now a Pierroth II (I’ve heard he’s X-Fly, but I’ve never seen him so I may be totally off.) The best part of the Picture is the face Pierroth Jr. is making.
Near the bottom of that cover, there’s a headline about Psicosis II being stripped of the Mexico MW Title. KrisZ notes that it’s the comissions doing, and it’ll be sent to CMLL.
Your G1 Update!: Lizmark apparently flew in to work one show (and appear on another) and flew back, because he’s listed on cards this week. Sucks to be him, but at least he won, beating Takashi Iizuka. O’Campo says Lizmark and Texano work in Japan starting September 8th, which would be part of NJPW’s Golden Fight Series 2005 tour.
