– Mistico vs Perro Aguayo, mask vs hair, will now headline Jucio Final.

Perro’s been pulled from the Cage of Death match, with no replacement announced

– Gronda’s Arena Mexico debut drew over 12000 according to Ovaciones, though his wrestling was about what we expect from him in. He’s back two more times right now (and if that attendence is right, many times more.)

– Antifaz and Zumbido showed up on the AAA tapings. No sign of Zumbido. Histeria is now wearing a Psicosis outfit.

– Black Tiger, Pantera and Black Pentagon are your new IWRG IC Trios champions. Elektro’s gone tecnico.

Add Safari to the list of guys who’ve jumped from CMLL to AAA. CMLL confirmed Zumbido’s exit, and is going with the “this is great because it’ll give more opportunities for others – and people are banging down the doors for those chances” line.

Vampiro, Konnan and the Ugly Americans have been announced for the AAA 07/29 Verano de Escandalo show.

Ovaciones also notes the WWA/Fox Sports World Espanol show that starts airing tonight (Fridays at 11 PM EST, Sundays at 6 PM EST), though they don’t seem to have any more info about it than what’s been reported elsewhere.

Luchas 2000, the magazine with ads highly visibly in Arena Mexico, but usually skipped for me on the web (little updated content, imbedded music), dedicated it’s last issue to Rey Mysterio Jr.. and his career. This plays into a luchainsider rumor that Rey was going to work shows for CMLL and AAA in May but wasn’t allowed by WWE and now he’s trying to work out a deal to do a Luchas 2000 promoted show. I find the whole story highly unlikely; Rey might have talked about doing such things, but it wouldn’t be like WWE to consider it.

Ultimo Guerrero did retain his LH Title over Atlantis, though it was an overturned finish. [box y lucha forums]

In Ovaciones, Histeria explained he stole the Psicosis identity contract in revenge; he seems jealous of the popularity of the Psicosis identity, so he got it for himself.

Haven’t been able to track down AAA results yet. I’ll update later if I stumble upon them.

Gronda hasn’t decided how he’s spelling his new name yet. Whatever he’s calling himself, he’ll team with Dr. Wagner and Mistico against the Pierroths in Arena Puebla on Monday. On the undercard, the CMLL Mini Star title is on the line, Mini Olimpico defends against Mini Pierroth.

Ovaciones also reminds me that Super Parka won the four way stakes match last weekend in Tijuana, with Dr. Wagner, Perro Aguyao Jr. and LA Park.
