AAA recap tonight? Maybe. I watched the first three matches and was getting quite bored, so I’m cut out early.

The opening two matches are from 04/01, so I’m guessing we’ll get the rest of that card (up to and including Vamp’s debut) this weekend.

Typical quick two falls to set up a long final one. Third fall pin was the “Shocker going for the reinera, Ultimo slips out with an inside cradle” finish

This was odd. Even though it was ‘most men eliminated within the time’, it was still captain’s rules. It was 2-2 when Mistico pinned Hector Garza, but since those two were the captains, the match was over. Not really a fan of those rules, especially when it’s bumped up to the main event.

Saturday: Alfredo doesn’t have any tapes listed, so I’m back to guessing. I figure they’ll probably should the remaining matches from the 03/11 show, which means we get a minis mask match. There’s probably a local opener which isn’t on the lineup, and maybe a rerun?

Sunday: This is semi-intriguing; at this part thru the Saturday cycle, there was only one hour for lucha, so we got one hour of the Guerra de Titanes show. There’s two hours this time, so what will they do the extra sixty minutes? More from that show? Never before seen CMLL? Skip to the next two hour show? Nothing interesting at all? Yep.

Little news today. They announced the Jucio Final main event, and it was indeed a Cage of Death match. El Hijo de Perro Aguayo, Hector Garza, Halloween and Damian 666 face Universo 2000, Negro Casas, Heavy Metal, Mascara Magica. No one can leave in the first 10 minutes, last two people left in the cage fight to a pinfall or submission (if they remember), loser loses hair (and I *guess* that’s why Felino isn’t here.)

Halloween or Damian losing their hair seems to be most likely outcomes, but putting Magica on the other side at least allows some mystery to the finish; if they did have Felino instead of him, you’d know the tecnicos are winning because they don’t have a guy low enough to lose their hair in such a match. (Though, I do allow that the most foresable ‘shock’ finish is Magica turning rudo and Negro losing his hair.)

Ke Monito, in addition to surving his normal mascot duties, will also be Maximo’s buddy. A bit of a cliff dive from Shocker there.

Gronda’s CMLL debut match will be with Wagner and LA Park and versus some combination of GdI. They’re going all out to make sure he doesn’t suck out of the gate.
