Just to clear it up, because it confused me a lot until I worked it out, this is what aired this Saturday (and will again in a couple hours):
- #144 Tarzan vs Perro - #146 Garza/Okumura/Tarzan vs Perro/Casas/Niebla - #148 Terrible/Garza/Tarzan vs Aguayo/Casas/Niebla Canek/Rayo/Warrior vs Wagner/Tiger/Universo 2K [CMLL Trios]
I stopped taping after 144, but left my TiVo on, and it was nice enough to keep recording till I noticed there was another CMLL episode on.
The upside is 3 episode got aired in one day, picking up two episodes they’d (oddly) skipped over previously, and GALA and TLN are going to be airing the same episodes on the same weekends.
The downside is Atlantis/Blue Panther vs Ultimo/Rey won’t air, which is incredibly annoying. I mean, more wrestling on my TV is great but if you have no chance to see the really good stuff, why bother with the middling stuff.
I know this is like the 300th time I’ve talked up this match, but even with CMLL TV is technically good, it’s been fundamentally boring, and they just omitted one of the more interesting parts for no stated reason. (I know the Perro turn is supposed to because exciting, but when you’ve known about it for months before you actually see it, the shock value just ain’t there.) I’m more than willing to sit through the medicore to get to the great, but I don’t know we’re actually getting there at any point.
The other downside is that I’m back as far behind episode wise as I’ve been for a while, and I’m surely not as motivated to case up as I’ve been in the past.
