Because I noticed it was out order and really short, I recapped Saturday’s show (#145). I could’ve even gotten it up same day, but I thought I might have a chance to do two shows today.
It was a week skip to the six-way cage match. It seemed like they had more ideas on how to play it out than the Guapos/Taliban one, which made for a more fun experience. It still wasn’t a great match by any means, and the usual subpar CMLL subpar production work shows itself in chaotic match structures like this. It was still better than the last cage match and worth 22 minutes of my time.
Because of the current way I do the updates on the .com/main page, the missing gap of recaps won’t be listed there when I complete them. I will mention them here.
Next week is when I think the Atlantis/Blue Panther vs GdI match will air, which is a match I’ve been looking forward too with out any assurances it’ll actually air. I’ve been considering bailing out on the recaps if the match didn’t air; it’s the one match I’ve been amped up to see, reason alone to sort thru the boring stuff. If I couldn’t get that match, it doesn’t stand to reason why I’d stick around for the other ones.
Which makes today’s news about TLN picking up the CMLL (and oddly, only CMLL – how are they going to navigate the different lengthed shows?) on Canadaian TV oddly timed to say the least. Start date is Septemember, and my guess from the SLAM story is they’re going off the Galavision schedule. We can hash it out when it airs; I never did put in an alternate schedule for the UK Channel, but I think I’ve got enough info where you can figure out what should be next as long as you know what just aired.
