Lucha Times

Annie Duke DOES have my (or a) iPod. I was looking at those white headphone cords and trying to figure if I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. I’m glad I figured that out. iPod type things must be great for long poker sessions.

Wait, wrong page. But now this isn’t criminally short.

Lucha Times is updated. Normal times

Saturday’s Wagner vs Canek should be intersting. It’s the first Wanger singles match to make air since his Tohoku Jr. #1 Contenders matches on #113 and first full length match since his match against Heat last year. I don’t expect this to be great, but interesting.

To ask Robert’s question from last time, I don’t expect all the (unchecked – that’s 146 on) stuff to air (or the stuff that does air to all air), but since I don’t have tape listings to work off of, I like to have lots of info on hand for the next time they decide to air odd match from out of order show.

Recap #134

Recap #134 is up. SKIP. Unless you’re Sangre Azteca fan #1.

I’ve reached the point where I mentally skip out once I see the first clip.

At least the next episode has a singles match that’d be intersting as far as taking stock of both guys.

Got some possiblities. Alan Stone isn’t teaming with his partner, because he’s scheduled to be in an 8 man tag main event of Arena Coliseo Guadalajara: Brazo de Oro, ???, Alan Stone, Texano Jr vs Satanico, Okumura, Nosawa, Mascara Magica. Yes, that’s the Lt. Guapo vs The Newest Guapo. So either there’s a turn during the match (why is Magica on the rudo side anyway?) or I’m confused or Guadaljara is it’s own universe. I’m bored with talking about it.

Felino is advertised for shows on Sunday starting at 2p (Coliseo Coacalco), 5p (Arena Coliseo) and 6:30p (Arena Aragon) on Box Y Lucha’s listings, which means he’s not sticking around in that tournament long. And his noon show needs to get hold of the magazine.

Coliseo notes

Atlantis and Blue Panther did beat Averno and Mephisto to keep their tag titles, winning the final fall with similatenous submissions.

In the semi-final, Pierroth wore his old mask to the ring, because it was six years since LA Park beat him for it, and he felt like it. It helped him to win – but then, so did the low blows.

Since I’m here and I’ve got ’em, here’s the full results

– Rayo Tapatios I & II, Molotov b Koreano, Flecha, Jeque
– Tigre Blanco, StarMAN, Chris Stone b Crazy Max, Arkangel, Dr. X

– CMLL Tag Titles: Atlantis and Blue Panther (c) b Averno and Mephisto (first defense)

First time I’ve noticed Zumbido of late, though I haven’t been looking hard.
