OMLL Match List

As promised, the OMLL match list of the tape JTron sent to me – somewhat so you can make fun of my spelling. It’s a really ugly HTML file, you’ve been warned.

I’m traveling on Wednesday, but I’m going to try and grab a match tonight and a match tommorow, at least, and a lot more on Friday. Maybe I should post it as I do it just so I stay on track? This needs to be done well before May 1 and I’m way behind that goal.

  1. Hey! The final show (the one without editing) is from 11/1/03, and is the final OMLL show. Tyme Paige’s opponent in the first match on that card was indeed El Tigre, and aside from minor spelling inconsistencies everything else on the page looks great.

  2. Good question; I never had that answered to my satisfaction. As far as I know, he DOES have AAA experience, and he did look good in the ring… otherwise, I dunno. I’ll try to find out.

  3. Well, I checked with Gerth, and he says he’s pretty sure it’s not the same Mosco who is now known as X-Fly. I checked my OMLL flyers and they said he’s from Jalisco, dunno if that helps. I’m pretty sure a lot of OMLL guys came out of the Guadalajara and Monterrey scenes, for whatever that’s worth…

  4. Well the Mosco I’m thinking of(X-Fly) has a lot of Guadalajara/Monterrey experience. I’ll still hold out hope it’s him.:) How would I go about getting my hands on this OMLL footage?

  5. I think I know the answers to these questions, but let me make sure

    – Malefico’s second in the Welterweight Title match (first full match of the show) is Guerrero Nocurono?

    – And is that Bestia Salvaje who walks in after the match? Or a guy who looks a lot like him.

  6. Maleficio’s second – the unmasked, middle-aged fella – is Martin Escobedo. He and his brother Rudy I believe were the promoters. I’m not sure who that was that ran in after, are you talking about the barrel-chested, middle aged guy who gets on the mic and jaws at Dorado for a while? They never followed up on that whole angle as far as I can tell.
