Aguayo 2nd Rope Stomp Tiger Niebla handstand victory roll Wagner |
If you like blown spots from guys you expect more of, this is the match for you! Could've used more than :10 of Niebla/Wagner. Aguayo didn't quite impress. |
Notes: A Ras De Lona - joined in the third fall. Black Warrior still works for this company? WOW! Rudos pose on the ramp. Ah, there's the other team. Before we get started, we look back at a replay - Wagner and Tiger press slamming Aguayo three rows back into the seats! Awesome!
Warrior and Aguayo to start. Warrior wipes some sweat off and shoves Aguayo. No waiting for a response - kick to the hamstring, pelvic dance for the third time today. Off the ropes, Warrior's clothesline is hiptoss is blocked, Aguayo's clothesline is ducked, Warrior waistlock, Aguayo switches and uses an out of control looking German (to get Warrior to land chest first.) Aguayo off the ropes, but Warrior clotheslines him. Warrior poses. But not with his pelvis. Crowd shot. Casas in as we come back, and Warrior tries to open hand slap him down. Casas chop, Warrior standing wheel kick. Warrior's PULLING THE ROPE! If he was as good at celebrations as wrestling, whoa boy. Whip, reversed into a short - sleeper, okay whatever Casas. Warrior immediately falls to seated position and snap kicks Casas' head to get out of it. Warrior off the ropes, big boot to Casas' head. Casas tries to do the "no, try it again, because that one didn't hurt me" bit, but he's apparently got something in his eye and he's trying to get it out, making his no sell slightly less convincing. Warrior off the ropes, boot is caught (duh), singe leg, Warrior flipped over, Casa grabs the ankle and tries a side legbreaker (leg snapped over knee). Tiger in to help, but his running boot is caught as well. Single leg. Tiger back up and chopping, but he gets forearmed. Tiger bounces off the ropes to deliver more of a forearm, which knocks Casas into the ropes and he comes back with a forearm, which knocks Tiger into the ropes and he comes back with a boot, which knocks Casas into the ropes but Warrior thought ahead to pull down the middle one this time so Casas goes out - to the apron at least. Warrior stomps Casas, then decides to back up and charge - this can only lead to the (Rey Bucanero memorial) monkey flip over the corner spot, but Warrior either aborts or tries a nifty reversal and fails at landing on the apron momentarily before slipping to the floor. Tiger is standing there like he's expecting to do his move at any second, but first we gotta get in Casas' apron dive Thesz Press - well, no, because Tiger springs to life and holds Casas in a sleeper to prevent him from running. Aguayo breaks that up, and there's Casas' dive. Back in the ring - by the way, what the heck happened to Niebla and Wagner here? - Tiger corner whips Aguayo and nails him with a wheel kick on the rebound. Whip, head down too soon and Aguayo kinda strikes it. Aguayo off the ropes, and Tiger catches him and loads him for the DVD, but Aguayo slips out. Open hand slap, slam, and Tiger's going for the second rope moonsault. Aguayo MOSTLY moves out of the way in time (Tiger's head and shoulders undoubtedly made contact, but we pretend it doesn't), then uses a suplex to set up Tiger in the corner. Aguayo to the second rope - Perro Aguayo (JR) second rope stomp, with Junior nearly breaking an ankle by slipping off Tiger's chest and awkwardly landing in the ring. Hey, there's the missing duo - Wagner charges into a Niebla powerslam. Meanwhile, Aguayo's getting the cover one two three (3:19) Back with Niebla, he's off the ropes, sliding under but Wagner stops him with a slap to the back. Wagner stops to pose, and Niebla sneaks back into action - headstand into to a victory roll (!) one two three (3:29)
Post replays, rudos decide to beat up on Perro Jr., but a commercial break calls.
Vignette: Boricuas (Pierroth, Nitro, Mini Violencia, Mini Pierroth, and Commando Girl II are present) happen to be hanging around the entrance of Arena Mexico, listening to Pierroth, when Violencia arrives. Insert bleeps here. Violencia promises death for all. Pierroth explains that he and FdT will destroy Violencia and GdI, then takes a swing. Violencia ducks and gives Pierroth a knee, but the point of having extraneous seconds is they can grab a hold of your enemies in situations like this and so you can chop and punch them until you get tired. EVERYONE STOMP! Pierroth taunts some more as he gets in his stomps. I think Mini Violencia has the best stomps of the group, but the camera angle doesn't benefit some of the more pulled ones. Pierroth has quite the potty mouth. Boricuas leave Violencia leaving - and we get a message that this will be continued later.

Pierroth Jr. (c), FdT (Halloween and Damien) vs Mascara
Y2K (c), Apolo Dantes, Violencia 08/15/03, Arena Mexico |
62 | ||||
1 | trios | 3:17 | DQ Pierroth (Violencia fakes low blow kick) | Usual Boricua.
2 | 5:23 | Violencia canes Pierroth
T | 8:40 | Violencia (2-1) |
Notes: Mini Pierroth doesn't appear to have his belt with him. Sadam has appear in Pierroth's posse here. They also have either a small child are a very young looking midget. VIVA PUERTO RICO. This is the weak of the month where FdT are rudos. Just to fit in, they brought their own second - Tijuana wrestler Inferno. Again, the two sets of title belts. Halloween is wearing face paint on just one side. Capos music? I'm so blowing off this match now. Violencia has got fire look for his gear now.
Pierroth chases Violencia down to the stage and beats him there, including a suplex on the ramp. Violencia also takes a hiptoss in, right for FDT. Halloween is doing the Jeff Hardy thing of wearing a cap while wrestling. Everyone take turns chopping. Apolo is on briefly, then Mascara is worked over. Corner clothesline, corner clothesline, Poetry in Motion. Now Apolo's back in for his full turn - Spinebuster, triple FdT legdrop. Pierroth chops him out. Violencia in and trying to go 1 on 3, but Pierroth stops that. Vio manages to duck a double clothesline, but Pierroth gets in a weak kick anyway. FdT load Vio up for a triple powerbomb from Pierroth. FdT do their lowrider walk and completely miss the Capos coming back in and beating down Pierroth. Comeback is on - FdT whipped into each other, then reverse it and the Capos go into each other. Double clothesline on Mascara worked, double corner clothesline on Apolo is avoided (Apolo dives forward and down as they come at him) and FdT fly out of the ring, Halloween posting himself on his way out. Apolo tries to pescado both of them, they're supposed to catch him and stay up, but they lose their grip and have to lift Apolo back up so Mascara can knock them all down. Vio and Pierroth in. Pierroth with a shoulderblock, Vio no sells, Pierroth with a low kick, Vio catches it, then fakes a low blow. That'll do. (DQ 3:17) That wasn't like good, that was just over. Pierroth can't believe he'd ever lose on something like - anyway, moving on, here are replays.
Hey, what do you know, FdT is threatening to walk out of a match! By god, this never happens with them. Halloween elects to come back and crotch chop. He'll continue to wrestle, if only - oh never mind, they're leaving again. FdT stop at the top off the ramp and can't believe the never of the referee for counting them out. Halloween comes back, breaks the count, and leaves again. Baby Richard, having tired of this game, decides to see how fast he can count, and Halloween is forced to come back in quickly to break it again. This time, the erstwhile tecnicos are on him with a pounding of epic portions to keep him there. Halloween gets a momentary advantage only to get beat again, and leaves again. being counted out again. Okay, back in, as long as it's one one one. First, Halloween must do some push ups. Are we ready to wrestle? He sure is a rudo, because I can't wait to see him get beat. Him and Mascara have a slap battle, and the older man wins. Halloween's attempt at a superkick ahs looked better. There, trying it again and nailing Damien in the process looks nice. They try the "Halloween slides to the floor under the bottom rope", but Mascara pushes him down too late and Halloween goes face first into the bottom rope! That looked extra painful. Mascara tries pushing Halloween out, but he's not moving. That hurt quite a bit. Ooooh, yucky blade marks on the forehead. Replay of the extra-painful move, and Vio and Pierroth are wrestling as we return. Violencia is extra light on his moves. Now Apolo's turn vs Damien. Apolo has nice second rope dropkick. And a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on Halloween, so I guess he's okay. One for Damien, and the partners hug in the middle of the ring - Apolo breaks that up with a dropkick. Apolo is proud of himself. Do we clip here? I guess not. Vio and Pierroth again - Vio misses a charge and Pierroth works him over with strikes. Choke on the top rope, hold for Damien to get a shot from the apron. Damien in - whip, backdrop for Violencia takes him all the way out. Now it's Mascara' turn to get bat down - corner clothesline, crotch on the post. Apolo brought in by Pierroth and chopped, but he manages to escape and get in some of his own. Apolo keeps fighting until Damien trips him into double submission from last week (half Boston/Camel clutch), but when that doesn't immediately get the submission, you know something's up. I guess both refs are watching that, because no one spots Vio getting the cane in the midst of a battle with Pierroth - hotshot to Pierroth's head, Apolo and Mascara keep FdT at bay, Violencia covers, one two three (5:23) so that's why Inferno was here - to throw the stick to the wrong person. I was so happy this was two falls.
After replays, we find that Pierroth is still down and Vio is triumphantly waving around the cane. Damien has wandered over to the announce desk to protest. Now Mascara is over to shut him up via chest slaps and a trip into the post. Pierroth is going to get the stretch ride out -evening it up from Violencia's ride last week.
Vignette: Our heroes, GdI, are making their way into the building - only to find Violencia laid out. They check on their sometime friend, who explains how he got there. As Violencia stands, Ultimo takes great effort to slap the dirt off Violencia's track suit. Ultimo advises that the next time Violencia needs help, he try a cell phone. Or, GdI's new page on the internet: www.GuerreroDelInfierno.com . Insert graphic here! Turning a beatdown into a cheap plug for your website might be the greatest thing ever

GdI (Tarzan Boy (c), Ultimo Guerrero, Rey
Bucanero) vs Guapos (Shocker (c), Terrible,
Mascara Magica) 08/15/03, Arena Mexico |
87 | ||||
1 | trios | 1:40 | Rey/Ultimo double submission Terrible/Magica | Pretty good main event trios from the guys you'd expect. Need more time (typical save it all for the last fall).
2 | 1:12 | Terrible/Magica double submission Rey/Ultimo
3 | 3:54 4:11 5:15 |
Ultimo Boston Crab/Rey grounded chicken wing Terrible Magica bodyscissors roll Rey Shocker DQ (low blow uppercut) |
||||
T | 8:07 | GdI (2-1) |
Notes: Tarzan Boy is not wearing the Blue Demon belt, so that's just a one time thing. They do announce him as champion. Hey, official T-Shirts! Guapos get about a million girl shrieks. They're wearing their pimping entrance gear, but no dancing. Shocker manages to duck the attack on the apron from Ultimo and Rey and goes straight after Tarzan Boy. Shocker gets in a boot, but a hiptoss takes both of them. Brawl is on, with Ultimo and Rey leaving their opposites behind to go help triple beat Tarzan Boy.
As the whistle blows, Terrible and Mascara Magica are in pursuit, but they're handled so GdI can go 3 on 1 on Shocker in the ring. Double whip, drop down, double leapfrog, Rey and Ultimo double hiptoss into face first powerbomb. Hold, and there's the Tarzan Springboard Dropkick. Terrible in, but kicked down in the corner. Corner whip, Ultimo with a dropkick and into position, Rey gets Monkey flipped into a flying corner forearm for Terrible, and turns to boost Tarzan Boy into a high dropkick. Magica in but immediately chopped. Put in the corner, Rey clotheslines Magica to a seated position, Tarzan with a running boot scrape to the head, Ultimo with the running corner headstand into a sit. Magica and Terrible are whipped back first into each other, then set up for the wacky double submission - abdominal stretch on Magica from Rey, Magica putting an Indian Deathlock on Terrible (sorta and involuntarily) and Ultimo putting a camel clutch on Terrible. That's it (1:40) though Shocker is into try and break it, and immediately beat down by Tarzan Boy with lots and lots of open hand slaps before Tarzan tries to stomp and kick him into oblivion. Fans dig the action. Replays of the finish. Those were not nice kicks Tarzan was using at the end.
Fall two starts with everyone Guapo but Shocker kept out of the ring. Tag champs hold for Tarzan to work over with open hand slaps and chops. Running forearm knocks Shocker down, but he kips up, breaks loose of the double armbar hold, and spears Tarzan down. Mascara and Terrible back in with simultaneous spears of his own, and everyone's going to town with mounted punches. Guapos making a quick come back, working over GdI people in separate corners. Rudos whipped into each other, then stereo boots. Shocker's knocks Tarzan Boy out, and then he's flattened by a pescado. Back in the ring, Rey and Ultimo are whipped into each other (jumping on impact - like the Headbangers? They fail to dance after), and Terrible and Magica are all "Monkey see, monkey do", hooking Ultimo and Rey into the same double submission that just got put on them. They have more trouble with it (Terrible doesn't know what he's supposed to, or he's chosen to do something different than what Ultimo did), but that's good enough for the win (1:12) Outside, some random person is helping Ultimo loosen up his back. Okay. Replays. Lots of 'em.
I bet this fall goes six minutes. GdI huddle on the outside rather than get a person in, but they're getting the fast count. Shocker and Magica - no, Magica tags in Shocker. Tarzan Boy sees this and tags in Ultimo. So Magica tags himself back in. Okay, are we ready to go? No, wait, Ultimo must test fan reaction to him. He's not happy with it. Magica wins the pose battle, although there are some loud boos. They both try again - less boos this time for Magica, but they're definitely there. I wonder if this the "the girls love 'em, so the boyfriends HATE 'em" thing I hear about. Ultimo decides we ought to start wrestling and open hand slaps. This leads to a battle - three back and forth exchanges before Ultimo switches to a shoulderblock, off the ropes, Magica ducks under the clothesline and hits a dropkick. Dropkick again - Ultimo is pinning out on each, and now he's trying to crawl for a tag. Magica grab a leg to stop him, but Rey comes in anyway (Ultimo wasn't close - Rey just felt like helping) his clothesline misses, Magica with a single leg takedown and the legdrop on the leg! Rey stands up, just in time to take a clothesline from Terrible. Terrible with another clothesline, Rey blocks it, Rey short clothesline is ducked and Terrible takes off his head with a big boot. Terrible tries another running boot, but Rey catches it and Ultimo knocks him down with a clothesline. That was a nice simple double team that looked real smart. Ultimo with an open hand slap, another, a third but Terrible ducks and levels him with a clothesline. At least Terrible's clotheslines are good, though it may be the opponents. Ultimo up and charming, Terrible ducks under the charge and grabs a waistlock, then spins Ultimo out into what I think is inverted facelock (so confused) Eye of the Guapo! Quickly picking Ultimo back up for a powerbomb, but Tarzan breaks it up with a dropkick before it gets started. Now Shocker is back in and Tarzan doesn't have anyone to readily tag. He's double checking though. Crowd is on him, so Tarzan will go to it - open hand slap battle goes three before Tarzan shoves Shocker away - he wants to do closed first now. Shocker is the much better puncher though - Tarzan's stuff is blocked away, Shocker lands a right, left, left, BIG right. Corner whip, reversed, Tarzan charges in, Shocker nails him with double boots. Tarzan turns around, Shocker charges out, sunset flip gets backdropped by Tarzan. Tarzan wheel kick is caught and dropped in a nice back suplex. Tarzan back up with an open hand slap, and clothesline Shocker out to the apron. Shocker's frustrated but getting back up - with the support of the fans! - and ready for Tarzan. Forearm for Tarzan, hiptoss out to the apron, forearms to the back of the head and now the rest of GdI are over to help him. Rey stomps down Shocker on the apron before the other Guapos can get cover to help, and we've got a big brawl again. Terrible gets left in the ring, and after Rey has had enough of kicking Magica while he's down, he takes off towards Ultimo and the ring - ramp running boosted bodyblock on Terrible, who was on his knees and maybe not expecting it - he sure got creamed. Double whip, Ultimo clothesline, set up for the Rey Bodyscissors - double team face first powerbomb/Diamond Cutter on Terrible! Rey with the Jacknife roll into a Boston Crab, Ultimo steps over him and grabs both of Terrible's arm to yank backwards as he leans out- double submission! (3:54) Magica in, and he's all GdI need to beat. He's beat down - whip, clothesline. Uh oh, they're trying the Rey bodyscissors again - this never works twice in a match! True enough - Ultimo leaves to celebrate again, and Magica reverses into a bodyscissors rollup one two three (4:11) Rey can't believe. Ultimo is surprised when he turns around. Chop for Magica, corner whip, charge, but no one's home and Ultimo is taking the knee bump to the floor. Magica get running - tope with last second somersault thrown in! That was crazy. Captains are the last ones standing - Shocker charges and gets a knee lift. Tarzan Boy with a dropkick, clothesline blocked, Shocker pulls him into the Circuit Breaker reinera! But one of Tarzan's legs get loose and clocks a ref - the other one stopping to check on the downed one, and Tarzan being able to ride the spin into the ropes and get free. Shocker backs up to the center of the ring, and Tarzan gives him a low blow kick with no malice. Tarzan with a little mocking pose, and goes to pick up Shocker - low blow uppercut! Cover - but the referee caught the last low blow and he won't count - they peel Shocker off the top of Tarzan Boy and raise Tarzan's hand! (5:15) Missed it by that much. Magica is LIVID. He's about to get himself a fine, he's so mad.
Shocker is ticked and gets the microphone. Tarzan is not a man - he's a half man. Accept a hair/hair match! Announcers are skeptical such a thing could happen. Tarzan explains that's he's more of man that Shocker, then takes a minute to thank the fans for the fans. Tarzan wonders what he has to gain, and suddenly decides to settle this once and for all - he'll accept the hair/hair match - as long as it's with his partners. Shocker is ticked - he wants one on one and he wants it now. Shocker boots Tarzan, which reunites the brawl. Magica ends up pounding on Ultimo for a while, with Rey and Tarzan opting to protect themselves than to go help out. Shocker would like them very much to make a move. Nothing seems like it'll be settled here, so it's break time.
Reapply of the finishes. I guess they saw the low blow out of the corner of their eye, but they realy turned too late to see it. That's it.

Closing Notes:
1. So now Tarzan has gotten two straight victories over Shocker, but
only through some help and some luck
2. Terrible's better with this group rather than any other, but I don't
know that someone still wouldn't be better than him with that group.
3. That nearly made sense.
4. There seems to be some future in the Casas/Aguayo pairing. Maybe not a
great future...
