Back at Tarzan Boy's place
again - this time he's ready quick. Secret handshake for everyone. Tarzan Boy re-iterates his belief that the Infernals De Guerrero should be the three people standing there. No Mascara Magica's allowed. They flip to see who gets to be captain, I guess and Tarzan Boy wins. |

Show Assessment: Maybe not the worst show, but a lot of wasted potential |
Match By Match:
First Match: The new hot fashion accessory are terrorist-esque shawls, I see. Scorpio has Antifaz in a ineffective looking leglock forever to start the match. Then they go into the beatdown. Beatdown lasts for forever and a half. Fiera turns it around with a double dropkick, but the comeback is even slow paced. Fiera's not as interesting as the captain. Antifaz started off the second fall with fun moves but Emilio put a stop to that. And then we had comedy, which was kinda sad. Emilio and Fiera took a hard bump from the top turnbuckle to the floor. Very nice double top by Safari and Antifaz.
During commercials, Televisa inserted commercials to vote for the Luchador of the year. La Parka (AAA), Latin Lover (AAA) and Rayo De Jalisco (CMLL - the old one?) were mentioned - maybe that's just this week's selections?
Second Match: In his continuing effort to look like Vampiro (I guess), Lizmark wears a Crow Sting mask to the ring. This was a lot about a Universo 2K/Lizmark issue - Universo is the CMLL Heavyweight Champion, though that doesn't seem to carry near as much importance here as it does in US groups. Post match, challenges were made and I believe a match was signed for next week.
Third Match: Brazo's come out with jerseys - Super Porky does a strip tease with his, which is as disturbing as you might suspect. Long counter sequence between Platino and II to start off with no really getting momentum for more than a second. Extending work on Platino in the second fall - I believe III was biting his head. Turned into a beatdown. Nice triple post job on Porky. One of the Villanos slammed Porky, leading to the finish. Platino got busted open. Platino blew a leapfrog on III in the third fall, didn't get high enough. One of the Villanos hit a nice tope to the outside, then tripped up Porky when he went for his apron dive. Everyone was fighting on the outside and that's that.
Fourth Match: NO DON'T CHARGE THE RING ALL BY YOURSELF SHOCKER...aw, he did it again. It worked as well as it ever does. At least Warrior is a step up from Porky, even if he didn't actually make it to the ring before he got beatdown. Casas got posted. GdI do the Steiner pose, if there was a mysterious third Steiner. While they're celebrating in the ring, Warrior runs down the aisle and Shocker gives him a big lift, so Warrior hits a huge flying clothesline on two of them. Tarzan Boy moves out of the way but Shocker gets him and chokes him on the ropes. Casas and Warrior had a pin for a minute, but both referees were watching Tarzan and Shocker, then Tarzan faced a low blow and they argued about that. Tarzan Boy popped back up, rolled up Shocker, and got the pin for the fall. Kinda lame, seeing as the other two were down for a 60 count. Lots of distracting edits in the early second fall. Again in the second fall, the rudo ref pays attention to a near-victory (Casas submission, looked like Rey should be counted out too) just long enough to miss the (this time real) low blow by Tarzan Boy, and the Guerreros De Infernals pick up another cheap victory. Post match, Tarzan said they were the THREE Infernals. Also, Shocker's a punk. They then danced.
They showed clips of the three contestants here - it is the older/fatter Jalisco.
Closing Notes:
1. With Tarzan Boy bad mouthing Mascara Magica, I wonder if he might just
help out Shocker sooner or later
2. Wow, an actual title match next week.
3. This was pretty much a missable show - angle wise, you could put it all
together next week and nothing was good
4. I guess, like with the Wagner/Atlantis stuff, you're gonna have to pay
to see the good match between Shocker/partners and Tarzan/partners, but now they
have to do the low blow spot in that match, so I don't know how good it can get.
5. Let's just forget this happened.
