Like vacation days, Edge got in his second yearly Edgecation just under the wire. Good work.

They’re FROM THE UNITED STATES, you morons. Hassan equally – he should’ve had a response ready for that if it wasn’t the chant they wanted, so I don’t think we can really rip them for doing exactly what WWE wanted them to do. After that, they took a while to come up with a coherent chant. Here’s the article; they should’ve got a graphic, but the survey’s purposely misleading. JR DOWN! JR DOWN! I think it’s only good that they didn’t lay out Lawler in that it would only lead to a match.

Sure hope they were ready to pull the NYR ads should an upset happen.

If they were continuing the angle from two weeks ago, shouldn’t they have structured it so Batista “accidentally” beats Triple H’s time? Tough to be Rhyno.

HHH’s opponent has to be Shelton Benjamin.

Oh god no, not a debate. This can only end with someone embarassed. Which I kinda figured had to happen when King let it slip that it was JR’s birthday next week.

Only HHH can stare down each person. Only Orton can get up. Too bad Shelton can’t possibly win. JR has a horrible cadence. Win, back. Benoit’s one is coming back soon. Hey, HBK, just so we get all the main eventers together again. I think you need Kane, and we’ve got every main event since the split here, or something.

OMLL 12/05

OMLL photorecap is here. Lineup was quite different than what was advertised, what was on the program, and what (Too Tall) Todd Gerth reported on WO.com today, and I wonder if that explains the long long wait till belltime and the two twenty minute intermissions on a four match card. More details on request. Except … Continue reading “OMLL 12/05”

rehash browns

Word is going around that the newest WON reports WWE planned/plans/will plan on having an ECW PPV, with it being spurred off a Now Way Out JBL/Show Barbed Wire match. Yes, becuase when you think ECW, you think JBL vs Big Show! Not to be too down on an idea that hasn’t happened yet, but I struggle to find the point of a one-off PPV. All you’re doing is milking the ECW name a little more without adding anything to it, and I think any person who’d buy an ECW PPV is already buying PPVs; the disenfranched ones are still seeing WWE in charge, rembering how WCW was treated, and waiting for WWE to prove it’s worth their time before they spend money on it.

The same observer story says the long term SD! plan is to build around JBL, which I wish I knew before I made my picks. I’m sure that’s also subject to change, but the philosophy seems like long (boring) heel title runs.

More Important To Me: Is Scotty 2 Hotty hurt? I must’ve missed it.

best DVD shill

ECW Byte This: Heyman and Josh for 100 minutes, with Droz, Bubba, Tazz, RVD, Dreamer, and Rey dropping by and being pretty open for a WWE production. Worthwhile time.

EDIT: best unfairly out of context Heyman line: “no one ever chanted ‘WCW’ unless ‘sucks’ is after it”

2nd best quote – paraphased: “give him one of those thing we bought for WCW. We got like, what, a million hulkamania t-shirts?”

I almost feel bad I left Rise and Fall off my DVD order today.

2 out of 3 wrestling critics prefer Rene

Rick Scaia comeback of the month! I actually scandalized that dum-dum by stating that I found Rene Dupree quite attractive. Her response: “Yer too cute to be a fag” (this is verbatim, or damned close). Me re-response: “I’d do him before I’d do you.” Rick’s got a coherent set of spoilers, in case you were … Continue reading “2 out of 3 wrestling critics prefer Rene”

Rick’s got a coherent set of spoilers, in case you were like me and confused trying to figure out the “Dean Fisk” line in the main set floating around. (WO.com)

Introducing three new characters on one show, regardless of who their backgrounds, is a great was to make them all irrelevant.

Carlito vs Cena for the US Title is set for this week’s SmackDown! – Carlito didn’t particpate in the match, and Cena is just stopping between movie work, expect some sort of major angle.

No indication was given based on who runs RAW of the tecnicos this week. We were given the impression Bischoff would not be there (or for the next weeks.) Note that next PPV is SD!, so the wrestler run RAWs will be more one off shows than trying to set up a PPV.

That said, guesses at RAW’s next PPV (New Year
