JUSTIN SHAPIRSHOW Episode 19 – Chaired Conference, Tabled Discussion

TLC is an American girl group whose repertoire spans R&B[3] hip hop,[1] funk and “urban” soul.[2] TLC was originally composed of lead singer Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, rapper Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and singer Crystal Jones. Jones was replaced by Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas in 1991; whilst Lopes died (and was subsequently not replaced) in 2002. The group was very successful in the 1990s and early 2000s in spite of numerous spats with the law, each other, and the group’s record label and management.

JUSTIN SHAPIRSHOW Episode 16 – Bank Teller

Like Will Smith and Barry Sonnenfeld themselves, Justin and Mr. Andy Napier (SoWeWereTold.com) are collaborating to tell the story of the MIB. A knight of Columbus, Andy’s “case study” from his live attendance of Money in the Bank is mostly a pretense for the two to investigate s04e01 of Total Divas at great length. Also: Nationwide planning Big Show’s retirement, NXT season fivers cash in their redemption points, and we pick out a nice card to send to John Cena. From autumn to Summer, a show so check it out.

JUSTIN SHAPIRSHOW Episode 15 – Jumping Bomb Angles

On this episode of the thing, Alan Counihan (F4W, DKP) and Todd Martin (PWT, TBD) convene with J. Shapiro to cast a pod no different than and completely the same as any other they’ve done previously. In light of Samoa Joe’s appearance on NXT and only that, they discuss their favorite promotional jumps PART ONE, covering an assortment of Rics, Ricks, and Rickys from 1988 to 1995 as they depart, defect, debut, and delight from hither to thither, Crockett to Vince, Atlanta to Stamford, and vices versa. Then, as a bonus, Todd closes the book on the pages and the text with Wrestling Observor: The Lost Levols, the missing/final(?) edition of this popular feature recapping the Observer newsletter through the lense of the fall of the Berlin Wall. If you want to be a star in this business, you have to go to New York and you have to download and listen to this mp3. A show so check it out.

Note: Comprehensible version of the episode begins in earnest at 14:55.

JUSTIN SHAPIRSHOW Episode 14 – Booyaka Booyaka 519

May the 19th be with you! That’s right, our annual May 19th Shapir supershow is happening again. Senior correspondent Albert Ching (ComicBookResources.com) guests to discuss not just the history but the deeper significance of this date. Included under that thematic umbrella are: the twisted & disturbed life of Kane, Kane now being a demon from hell in relation to the Sartre quote “hell is other people,” dead crowds in contrast to Al’s live Wrestlemania week experience, some attempted devil’s advocacy for a few of WWE’s demonized divas, and a discussion of a couple of this year’s summer blockbusters released on or around May 19th and what they portend for Daredevil’s prospective team-up with Batista. A show so check it out.

JUSTIN SHAPIRSHOW EPISODE 12 – Assed Reigns

Justin S. and Matt Feuerstein (Royal Pains) convene to discuss the most pressing issue in America today: Roman Reigns, and how he’s allowed to win the matches. :( Also, Daniel Bryan and the usual deal there, WrestlePlaynia 0, and the big dance competition Matt will have to enter and — by utilizing the music of the streets — win the grand prize money of, in order to raise enough funds to save indy wrestling from an impending corporate foreclosure at the hands of NXT. JUSTIN SHAPIRSHOW EPISODE 11 – E! BOLA

California…” – John McClane, Die Hard 2: Die Hard 2

The prodigal Matt Feuerstein (actor/producer, Royal Pains) returns to join Albert Ching (managing editor, Comic Book Resources) for a discussion of the end of the most famous streak in wrestling, Albert’s legendary run of attending almost every SummerSlam at the Staples Center (excepting 2012, the 1, behind the 1, in 2012). An embedded reporter at the Battle of Los Angeles, Albert also provides a full debriefing on the guerilla warfare, precision strikes, aerial tactics, and dangerous ricochets after three nights of fighting. In the interest of equal time laws, they also preview the unprecedented third season of Total Divas — you’ve heard of a dinner bell, but a Bella lunch? Plus an examination of the rematch clause, the latest casting news on an upcoming WWE Film, and of course, what we all look for in these encounters: bone-rattling slams. A show so check it out.
