Quick WWE 1st Quarter Income Statement Notes
– Overall, things went up, though nothing skyrocketed. Which would be great, except they don’t expect to keep increasing at the rate the experts are looking for. They’re up 11 cents a share this quarter, and they’re projecting to finish the year between 46 and 50, but the experts are looking for 63. Stock is down a half a point as post this.
– The increase in PPVs in the last quarter was specifically noted; they had 4 instead of 2 because of GAB and Vengeance happening to fall into this quarter. The big point is even discounting those extra PPVs to compare with last year’s Qtry, they’re still up.
– Actual digits are mentioned for PPV numbers (instead of graph estimating).
Judgment Day 220
Bad Blood 264
Great American Bash 233
Vengeance 232
Bearer’s death and JBL/Eddie II ever so slightly out drew HHH/Benoit and Edge/Orton. Those numbers are still subject to change, but I think between that and what number the Kane/Lita wedding gets tonight could have an influence on how the proceed.
– International attendance is up 7,000 per show while NA attendance has dropped 9,000 per live show. Which is why they’re going overseas more.
– Both shows are down .2 ratings point from last year at this time, at 3.7 (RAW) and 3.1 (SmackDown!). They expect to be in a 3.5-4.0 range for RAW this year (right on) and a 3.2-3.7 range for SD! (underperforming)
Didn’t listen to the teleconfrence. Maybe later?
