There’s no more tired “shocking” baseball speculation than “Ichiro could hit a lot of home runs if he wanted to.” It doesn’t matter if it’s true (and if it was true, wouldn’t Ichiro be some sort of moron not to hit at least a few more out of the park?) but that it comes up after All Star batting practice each and every year since he’s come over, and clueless people treat it like it’s an amazing new fact.
