You think they thought people who didn’t know what it referred to might start asking questions about what happened? I don’t know who’d be inclined to do that, but perhaps they just want to cut it off before anything happens. I wonder what they’d say to anyone who did ask. Maybe they’d say something like “he made inappropriate gestures towards the fans” which is only half the story, and the less important half at that.
