Cubs 15-14 (sweep!)
Nationals 9-22

That was a pretty fun game and it got rid of a lot of zeros – first 1 run win, first post 8th inning comeback, first extra inning. It’s the first time Ward’s batted twice in a game, and somewhere, someone in a fantasy league with very minimum standards for games played at a position is thrilled Soriano’s eligible to play 2B again.

Did Blanco actually touch second on the game winning hit? He only could’ve hit and turned around, because he was back between 1st and 2nd to hug Daryle. I guess no one cares with one out.

Theriot didn’t have a great day, but his at bat in the 9th was huge. Murton’s double was huge. Jacque, taking a ball on the leg and having to switch positions twice, had a nice day.

Far more LOB than you’d like to see. Angel Guzman the hitter did no favors to Angel Guzman the pitcher, missing on a few chances to bust the game wide open. Ram had a tough day too.

Bullpen could’ve been better too. It’s tough to believe Angel still doesn’t have a win, seeing as he’s been around for parts of two seasons and been an active topic for a lot longer. If he pitches like he did today, he’ll get one soon; being able to go deeper in the game would’ve helped get it done today a lot.

This is a POOR time for an off day. I don’t want them to stop right now.
