How four people standing in a room can interupt the same conversation differently:
Cubs.com (now line break free!)
Baker indicated he’s open to a platoon with Matt Lawton and Matt Murton in the outfield.
Let me tell you, I was shocked and amazed Dusty would consider such a thing. I was more amazed when I read the Tribune.
Baker said he would try to get Murton at-bats, but he doesn’t plan to platoon him with Matt Lawton, as he did with Todd Hollandsworth.
HUH. That would seem to be exactly opposite. Third opinion!
“Murton is going to play against some left-handers,” Baker said.
Which isn’t really as definite. Daily Herald says the same. Daily SouthTown didn’t feel this was worth mentioning, whatever it was.
I think I’m best ignoring all of this, and just presmuing Murton will play down the stretch, but no more than Grieve, Cedeno or Gerut did – and he’ll be sent down in a week or two when Corey returns.
You mean interpret there. Four newspapers interupting the same news conference in four different ways would have seen more slapstick wackiness ensuing.
