09/06/04 RAZZ Tournament. 343 entered. 3,000 chips to everyone. Winner has to get all the chips: 1,036,000
Game of my LIFE.
Top 2 moves
1) Taking out the trash during the first break
2) Getting a bowl of Cheerios during the second break
That’s how Razz is, at least for me. There’s not really make/break hands, unless you lose, it’s just occasionaly steady progress up and a lot of blinding down. You don’t have the fun stories of Hold ‘Em, but at least I’m not comletely below average at this. (I’m medicore and lucky!)
I was chip leader for about an hour, lost it as thing compresed to the final three tables, and alternately won and lost it from there. It was quite a wild ride.
This is where I should mention that I gain nothing from this victory but the respect and admiration of my peers. Well, possibly that. It’s still freaking awesome.

I actually won money at a Hold ‘Em tournament yesterday. Sure, it was $2.17 on a $1 entry fee, but still, 106th out of 2000+ ain’t bad for my second ever tournament. Betting a nut flush against a guy with a king-high flush is a great, great way to make money.
personally I like Razz, though when I played it at my cousin’s house I ended up with twos full of threes!
