It’s 2:30, it’s a long week, and I’m writing about TV.
– Between last year’s main event and the lead up to this year’s, they’ve edited the show to create two truths
1) If you see a Name go all in on an outside table, they’re losing.
2) If someone goes all in the last two minutes of the show, they’re losing to end the show.
Tuesday’s episodes were awesome for editing breaking their own rules. I don’t know if it was a consequence of needing to mine a couple more hours of footage and not being able to tell the story they like to tell, or a purposeful desire to break those rules to keep it from being predictable. Either way, poker’s more fun to watch when you don’t know the ending by looking at the clock.
Jesus swinging dancing was quite the scare.
– I was so disappointed no one got the hair cut on Amazing Race. It makes sense, since they’re models and all, but it would’ve taken more dedication to the race than they were willing to give. They’ll TRY, just not too much.
That was such a killer Fast Forward stipulation. Credit to whoever thought it up.
Any time you end when light is still out, you’re probably starting early enough to where leads coming in don’t matter. So I suppose Brandon and Nicole will be able to catch up – it’s not a prime place for getting money, but everyone else has managed – but they were tremendously worn down by the race already, I don’t know how much they have left. I agree with the TWoP recap; some part of Nicole would have been okay with it being over in India.
Baring some sort of disaster, it’s totally coming down to Evil (Colin) vs Good (Chip and Kim). Twins and Moms are looking like they can barely keep up.
– I enjoyed this week’s JLU, but I don’t have anything much specifically to say. Question was fun – the singing while bashing and knowing Evil Supergirl wasn’t dead were nice touches.
Looks like they’ve just got two more weeks of episodes before a midseason hiatus. And the two left are out of order.
– TiVo grabs 6 hours of music videos for me, and the only thought I’ve got is: That can NOT be Joss Stone’s voice. I can’t believe that voice comes from that person unless I saw her in person.
I don’t even know that I liked the song I saw – You Had Me, which I’m sure I’ve heard dozens of times before but just never with the singer’s face – but it’s an amazing voice.
FWIW, Producer Dwayne McDuffie mentioned on his Delphi forum that it doesn’t really matter what order the episodes are shown in until the big two-parter. The intention was to make ’em all pretty much self-contained outside the bookends.
naaaaaaaaaaah, I won’t say anything.
