Sven: It’s only turn into a good give and take if I remember to hang around to give. Long long threads where everyone abhors the HOF for completely different reasons put me off this subject of a day or two.
My thought is, you really could do another HOF without the WON and it might be better fo it. I’m sure you’d want Meltzer to be involved, but I think if someone spun off the concept on it’s own. A website where people could discuss the HOF, qualified people could debate the choices (I think I prefer 12 people in a room/discussion board rather than a 100 sending in a vote), and list/highlight the actual winners (thing 342th I’ve complained about WO.com! Did I break the record? I’m so not going to be asked back now.) would be a lot more interesting, if somewhat of a pain for whoever ran it.
The HHH debates will be endless next year, even with the obviousness of his selection. People have 10 votes and I don’t think they’re going to throw them all away because there’s no other great prospects (though I suspect Shamrock will have a good shot), so I suspect the hyping will be harder than usual.
FINALLY I can stop avoiding WON spoilers, the issue has arrived.
I didn’t vote but wouldn’t have voted for Kurt. I’m kind of annoyed that he got in, actually, as much as I adore him.
Here are the lucha voting results for 2002 you wanted.

Ultimo Dragon* 65 (54%)
