CHC --- (Prior vs SDP Eaton)
SDP 2.0 (Eaton @ CHC Prior)
SFG 2.0 (Tomko vs PIT Fogg)
PHI 3.5 (Padilla vs COL Kennedy)

This is the only real race left in the NL.

Prior’s switched spots with Carlos, allowing Carlos to serve out his suspension and not miss a full turn in the rotation. He’s back tommorow, and they’re supposed to hear Kerry (from much much earlier) and LaTroy’s appeals of their suspensions tommorow as well. Kerry possibly could get his cut down a day, but I don’t believe LaTroy will, and that’ll be some kind of wild adventure. I wonder if they’ll start making them serve it on Thursday? That would seriously screw things up.

This is Padilla’s return from tricep injury and his first start since 05/29.

Re: MVP – My problem isn’t that Bonds is a sure fire no doubt MVP winner, but that I’d had my fill of people saying Rolen (or Puljos) were sure fire no doubt MVP winner. Which is what I was getting.

I’m cool with voting for Rolen or Puljos or Bonds, but I think it’s close enough that you’ve got to give to make the case why one is the MVP and the other two aren’t, instead of just treating it like conventional wisdom

The problem with some of my posts is that I’m listening/reading someone, and if you’re listening/reading at the same exact instant, I make a lot more sense. And that I listen to too much sports talk when 90% are just shooting off the cuff and don’t even really believe what they’re saying. I’m trying to cut down, honest.

I think Bonds wins, just because the Cardinals vote splits itself and Bonds does have really pretty numbers. I’m sure he’ll take the stathead vote

AVG HR RBI OBP SLG VORP
Bonds .353 31 67 .600 .765 92.3
Helton .329 26 71 .454 .626 65.6
Rolen .338 26 98 .415 .621 64.0
Pujols .319 31 80 .405 .620 62.3

It is too soon and too close to call, though. The Giants making the playoffs or coming close plays in to it. Who’s AL MVP? I don’t even know there. Carlos Guillen of all people has the best VORP. What a savvy move by those Ms.

I will not be watching ESPN 25: The List today. Actually, I should never be watching the show; it’s quite the disappionment of random voting and ordering, and reallly sucked before they cut out the recap every 5 minutes.

It’s quite the combination of stuff I want to watch/will watch instead tonight, actually.

7-9 Last Comic Standing 2nd to Last
7-10 Cubs vs Padres
8-9 WSPoker
8-10 Joe Schome 2 Finale
9-10 Amazing Race 5
9-10 WSPoker

I’m going to end up watching Comic and Race live, while flipping to the Cubs game at any dead moment, and TiVo-ing JS2 and the ESPN2 late night reruns of Poker. But then I’m going to try and get Madden today too so the whole plan may be out the window.
