What it took me a couple months to realize is while my Unique Visitors/Number of Visitors trended down have gone down since this spring, the reason is pretty obvious and stupid: when I got rid of those pages that were just generating bad search results because I didn’t want people coming here just because of bad search results, the raw number of visitors was going to take a big dive.

Anyway, numbers from this month
– Pages hit a new high (by a bunch)
– Hits hit a new high (by a bunch)
– Bandwidth hit a new high (but I’m still okay)

I take it people are checking back for new updates a lot? I can not encourage you enough to use the RSS if want to get the latest stuff delivered to you rather than checking back every so often. And also get to see beta site design changes that no one comments on.

Tuesday’s the busiest day of the week.

  1. Why, exactly, is there such a play in the old WOW recaps? I’m always puzzled by this.

(At least one of the usage surges was mine, as I downloaded the old Tough Enough recaps to fill time at work. And I needed to track down the date of the Cena / AmDragon match from Velocity, as I’d downloaded it.)

    – Sven

  2. My best guess

    Jeanie Buss
    – is my top search term
    – is an executive for the LA Lakers
    – dates ex-Lakers coach Phil Jackson
    – appeared in WOW in angle that never got around to going anywhere
    – has posed for Playboy

So I think it’s a fair bit of people somehow thinking they’re going to stumble into naked pictures.

The only other thing I can think of is I recapped the opening montage in the recap, and they had included a lot of bikini clips from the swimsuit contest. Saying bikini helps.
